Why hasn't someone bought this INSANE fireburst yet?  I think this might be the most intense fire top I've seen.

I sent an e-mail and a PM to gregg already but I wanted to ask you all.
Does the website allow you to pay with two sources of payment? For example a debit card from my checking account AND my credit card?
I got my eye on  a neck...but I need to use a CC to afford it...Whatever, it's worth it!
If I can get it, I'll wait till it's delivered and then cut up the credit card, hahahaa.

I think it's just one source of payment buddy.  Why not just take the cash out of the account and put it aside until you are ready to pay the CC bill?  Or you could pre-pay a portion of the CC bill as well...

Thanks for the reply. My rush is a particular neck in the showcase that i want to get before it gets nabbed up. You do have a good idea though. just make the payment onto my cc, and use the cc.  Thanks Mayfly.

Perhaps because of the resolution or the intensite of colors, but this does look like napalm in the morning!

STOP!!!

In truth, I have recently decided that I will give up on trying to make myself learn to play anything but Strat-shaped guitars and Teles.

The non-reverse Firebird I built never got touched because if the way it hung on me. It put the neck a lot further to the left than I liked. The headstock just got sprayed black, because that neck's going on the black Strat body I bought last week.

The strap position is one reason I never cared much for Les Pauls, Vs, Explorers, etc. It's not a big difference, but it's big enough. I'm looking at this Iceman project I have going, and I know I'll never play the darn thing.

But I have indeed lusted in my heart over that specific Les Paul.

I try to console myself by daydreaming about a carved -top Soloist with flame maple in a tiger's eye finish.

And to postpone it, it has recessed controls and TOM-/string-thru. Those are not options yet.

That should buy me some time...

Since I'm already working on a Strat, I was thinking two humbuckers (w/ chrome covers), trem bridge (since I have one kicking around), master tone, master volume (though I can't seem to decide which of the standard Strat contol placements to forego), canary/rosewood neck with abalone inlays...
 
Nice! That's a piece i'd love to have, and two chrome buckers would be perfect. Drill your own holes for the pots, get em where you want em. Post pics of this one as it comes please!

I do think that I'll buy this one, or similar, same with the koa les paul. this body though will be refinished. I've always wanted my own 'signature' finish on wild maple, and if all goes well, I'll have the finish on this guitar. yeah, it will be stripped, but finished in a lovely nitro :P and no, I won't be doing the finishing :D just have to wait a few more days.

I'm still milling this one over in my head, but I'm getting closer and closer to buying it (just got the go-ahead on a sizeable project for after the holidays, so I might need to treat myself!). However, I still have a few questions re: control placement. Would it be difficult to drill the holes for the pots? I'm a little wary of drilling into a beautiful finish. Also, is there room in a Strat control cavity for 4 pots (2 vol. & 2 tone) and a three-way switch? And finally, what do you guys think: 5-way switch with coil-splitting and/or series/parallel puckup configurations or a simple 3-way toggle?

Ok that lp is freakin sweet. There is soo much to choose from. We get our holiday bonus soon...I may actually freak out and buy a certain body and neck. But I'm not gonna say and hope no one notices it and buys it out from under me! hahhaaah.
I'm so hyper and exited even at the idea! Oh the wife will kill me, but she gets a bonus of her own...so whatever. ahahaha! crazy laughter. hahhaaha
