Yes, the heel could be sculpted like the newer strats without sacrificing much in terms of compatibility, just need to move one screw hole. And avoid the modern construction neck if that makes you nervous.
Speaking of being annoying and pushyBelieve me: I push for exactly this every chance I get, to the point that I have become annoying to everyone around me.
But it has not happened yet.

Meadowhawk when?!!
Not a great pic, but shows that a strat heel fits into an Ibanez RG with the old square heel, and the final few frets on an overhang that extends right up to the neck pickup are easily accessed.Could also give 24 fret access like on the early RG/JEM models. Those necks bolted on just like a strat, and the lower horn was deep cut to allow easy access to the full 24 fret overhang. I’ll keep my fingers crossed and see how many of my wishes are granted.
The neck is sitting pretty high in that pocket.................Not a great pic, but shows that a strat heel fits into an Ibanez RG with the old square heel, and the final few frets on an overhang that extends right up to the neck pickup are easily accessed.

No problem, I may say I want an AANJ but I actually rarely use the weedly weedly end of the neckIt's on the schedule for some time in Q2. The standard offering will have the square heel to be compatible with all other necks we offer. The sculpted heel will be reserved for limited runs only.
True, I want a 24 fret with AANJ but honestly a 24fret overhang with a soloist horn and neck joint relief is fine. And really a 22 fret Strat is fine too.No problem, I may say I want an AANJ but I actually rarely use the weedly weedly end of the neck
There MIGHTWho do I have to bribe to make sure one of the launch bodies is bright red gloss?![]()
If there is a pickguard option and there happened to be a goblin flake hardtail with universal routing, I will be compelled to purchase. Been after a new hardtail for a couple years. There MIGHTbe a Bright Red Satin.
Trying to order one of the carved top soloist bodies, but I just keep getting a spinning wheel when I go to check out - multiple browsers and devices
