Big news regarding Warmoth Soloist bodies...

Was that posted *by* Warmoth on FB page? I can't figure out whether it looks rear-routed or front-routed, can't see a channel for pickup wires.

Yes it was posted by the Warmoth Page not in the group.

I also noticed the lack of pickup wire channel but I am sure its a fit test on an existing sample body.

@aarontunes or @JacobJames could probably shine a little light on it.

I'm not authorized to say that you should keep an eye on the YouTube channel this Thursday.

I'm also not authorized to say that you should go take a look at the Soloist and CT Soloist custom builders RIGHT NOW, and maybe take a gander at the pickguard menu too.

I also don't have the clearance to say "take it easy today, we are still working out the kinks."

Thanks for the head's up, Aaron! I can't wait to see the video and what's available when authorized. I played around with the builder + pickguard options and just wanted to pass along a note that there was no provision for a 24-fret pickup reposition in the soloist pickguard. Other than this small point, very exciting!

I saw just the universal route, I wonder if it’s locked in at 22 frets?

There is no such thing as a 24 Fret Repo on a pickguard. Never has been, and probably won't be any time soon.

This has been the case for at least 20 years. I remember calling and asking about 24 fret reposition on a pickguard and Its a no go

Ah, wasn’t sure if that was because the neck is already positioned for 24 frets or not.

Yeah, I had a HSS build saved ready to pull the trigger on, and notice today that it was changed from 3 to 2 controls. Seems strange they would remove the option for 3 just because they are adding the top route option. I wanted as many switching options as possible for an HSS.

You still have the blade switch, so do you mean like a push/pull pot?

Other than the typical Strat control layout, no. The Claro Soloists all had that.

FYI, the control layout on both the Soloist and CT Soloist were updated after many requests from customers, to better align with what you see on most Jackson, Charvel, Ibanez, and other super-Strat type axes.

Volume 1 was moved down and away from the usual Strat location to a more comfortable position. The blade switch was rotated to be parallel with the edge of the body, allowing better access the volume. The tone was situated in a better position relative to everything else.

For those who still want typical Strat controls, just reach out to our sales staff we'll be happy to do it as an off-menu option.
