Crazy I know, but yes, I don't have it dialed in yet, but it became more playable string height. Thats why I posted it was to verify the proper orientation.Sounds better backwards !?!

AgreeI am pretty sure the intonation screws should face rearward, but not sure if it matters, I have never had a Jazzmaster.
The screws should face the rear of the guitar towards the trem unit. Better to turn it around and set it up.I looked at photos of jazzmaster and they all seem to have the screws facing the bridge, but actually it seems to sound and play better with screws facing neck, I don't know if it matters or not, my first jazzmaster.
Looking good! I kind of like the white-ish guardStill have not fixed the wiring problem, set aside for a bit, but I did win a pickguard on the ebays so I have optionsView attachment 62978View attachment 62979

Color coordination padouk neck to the white Korina body. The electronics are a mess and I'm procrastinating, mental block.
Good Grief! ................................Are you wearing a respirator? It been a while since I did anything with this one, motivation is against me. Feeling under enthusiasm for anything so I took this apart and scratched it pretty badly (caked shellac). Put tape, sprayed white lacquer on top bout, sanded it back a little too soon, letting it dry a while, I just needed a good paint fumes anti represents, sigh, also created. New batch of shellac (white) to blend it all together, here's where I am at.
