Crazy I know, but yes, I don't have it dialed in yet, but it became more playable string height. Thats why I posted it was to verify the proper orientation.
I looked at photos of jazzmaster and they all seem to have the screws facing the bridge, but actually it seems to sound and play better with screws facing neck, I don't know if it matters or not, my first jazzmaster.
I started wiring last week , with tele standard wiring using a 3way. Anyway, I now have pos 1 and 3 working but nothing on middle position... what did I do wrong?
I think you may have wired the pickups on the wrong side of the the blade switch. It's like the connections were made while looking in a mirror. The pickup hot wires are supposed to be soldered to the "common" terminals on each side of the blade switch. Please check a Fender wiring diagram and you will see the difference.
