In all our kerfuffling over miscellaneous carve-tops nobody seems to have tipped us off to the SG replacement, i.e., the Diamondback.  Or else I've been asleep.

I'm not sure where I come down on this one yet, but I think I like it.  Looks  like a rocker, for sure.  Pointy, but in a good way.

Yea, I totally missed that as well.  As far as my opinion, I do like it, almost a lot, but I don't love it  :icon_scratch:
I definitely like it much more than the SG, but I don't think it will be on my list of must have geetars...
:rock-on:

I think I like it!
Reminds me of me when I was 17,
Horny as hell :laughing7:

I'm not sure what to think, either. Reminds of a bat signal.

That particular one is a heavy little rascal at 5lbs, 2oz.. Probably won't have neck dive issues like its ancestor.

Dang.. that complicates matters. It looks like they might have actually gotten the upper horn close to the magical point  to make the SG finally NotSuckEvenThoughItLooksBadAsAllGetout.

Still checking the website. No Mooncaster yet. So are these going to be in Vintage Styles, Warmoth Styles,  or will they make a new section under bodies labelled "Nya nya nya nya"?

Well.....

That certainly complicates my life....

looks like an ESP Viper, I dig it.

:icon_thumright:

Now, the wait till it shows up in the body builder....

I like it, reminds me of the Guild S-100s that Kim Thayil plays.

That was my first thought too, and it was something that had been mentioned in the suggestion box (specifically, to use Guild shapes to replace Gibsons).

That shape rocks!

My 1st thought as well.  :icon_thumright:

I reckon that will be a seller.
Would I buy one  .... Nope

I already got my SG Warmoth.

Here's a pic of the old Warmoth SG ..... just so you can see the difference.

I see Jazzmaster attributes with the forward-pushed upper horn and large lower bout.  Sort of a S-Jazz-G-master, if you will?

I think it looks ok, though I'm not sure about the way they've shaped the inside of the cutaways.

Now all they need to do is offer a top-rout version so I can make a pseudo-Hagstrom...

My first thought was that it looked very familiar.  As previously stated, it looks an awful lot like the ESP Viper:

The obvious differences appear to be in the radius of the horn curves and the aggressiveness of the bevels.

even though the builder reinforces the misconception, the guitar will not explode if the pickguard touches wood other than at the perimeter.

:dontknow:  Anyone here happen to buy it  ?

It's gone and would love to see the build.

OR
Anyone here purchased any of the new bodies ?
I know there is still more new models to come onto the showcase.

Just call me curious  :icon_biggrin:

I applaud the effort, but... when I build the replacement to my long-lost SG Jr. I'm gonna be using the Precision kit.

Unless by that time the evil empire shuts them down.

Thank you Warmoth, however. Great effort and I'm sure there will be many sold

I will also repeat myself; a body shape that is halfway between an Explorer and a Firebird would have me panting and saving my pennies.
