Very cool project and well executed, though I'd never put writing on any fretboard of mine.

My sentiments, exactly. While mythological references carry some weight with certain types of people, there's a time and place for such things and I don't think fretboards are in that subset. On the other hand, it's unlikely that unit was built for resale, so the resultant dramatic reduction in value to near zero is immaterial.

Yup! No way I'm selling this thing, so the probable value drop on the wood burned fretboard is irrelevant to me. If I knew how to do inlays, I would have gone that route and I didn't want to pay someone to do it because then the build wouldn't be completely mine.

The hell with depreciation. Be proud of your work, I think would burning is  :headbang:badass!. Abalone/pearl inlays are cool too, but they can be so shiny/bright when all you want to do is blend or burn in.

Seriously I nfor one would like to see some close ups.  :icon_thumright:

I love it. The z body shape is so unique and unlike mainstream guitars. And it contours to your body while playing quite well.

If you do end up being alright doing woodburning jobs for people, Well build #3 might bring up an old idea i had concerning an all purpleheart body and neck  :evil4:
But now i'm going too far ahead of myself haven't even finished planning number 2 haha.
