    Crazy accoustic guitar idea!

If the goal is to make it look crappy, your options for this kind of work are endless.  I think that fire, a band saw or possibly trained termites would do the trick. Seriously though, you my be able to cut out the chunk and use the curved "scrap" to glue back in place (inside-out). Re-finish...

    Sitting/Playing Style/ No Lessons

As weird as it got, it never quite got weird enough for me. I play a weirdo instrument in a strange style with unique timing. Play what sounds good to you, and others will probably like it too. But also remember that just because you are unique does not mean you are good, or useful. Most of the...

    Let's See Those Acoustics!

This was my first guitar, and still my favorite acoustic. She is the DOG (Dirty Old Gibson), a 1963 LG-O all mahogany, rosewood fretboard, 5 digit serial number beauty. She sounds gritty and aged. This guitar lives on the wall next to my chair where I can get to her while relaxing.

    Headless bass ideas

I like the paddle cut-off idea.  I dont think that it would be too hard. Careful cutting and drilling. Practice on scraps...you know the deal. I also think that with basic wood-working tools (circular saw, wood glue and clamps), a pretty good router with sharp bits, lots of planning and a dash...

    No more twinkies?!?!?!

I guess soon I will have to ammend my ways and give up Twinkies.  Anybody know another vice I could pick up to fill the aching cream-filled void left by the loss of my favorite plastic wrapped and then boxed factory-produced baked goods? :dontknow:

Anyone interested in custom tube amps?

Mason Adams, I have an extra, somewhat trashed 1960's hammond L112 organ with a 40W tube amp and a small leslie without the original amp.  To get sound from the Leslie, I trashed a Crate practice amp 15W POS. I modded the hammond for a 1/4" out and ran a cord to the Crate/Leslie. It worked fine...
