What do you do for a living?

I'm a student administrator/deputy head of School for a Engineering School at a University.

I'm a rent-a-geek. A technical specialist that fills voids in IT departments wherever whenever. Currently I'm assigned as a senior systems engineer @ BMW Dealer Support Center.

I'm not freelance but employed. I prefer that because even though I probably would earn more if I'd work freelance, I get all the benefits of being employed (pension fund, company car, still getting paid even if there's no work for me, not having to do my own salespitch) and still the opportunities to do something new every 6 months or so.

I currently fly an X-Wing for the rebellion.  I'm trying to learn how to drop a bomb with perfect precision for this upcoming mission...

... actually I teach high school kids how to draw, paint, design and apply theatrical makeup, build specialized props and puppets, and create special effects like blood cannons and monsters for film and theater.  It's a pretty sweet gig.  I also work in a comic book store on the weekends to help pay the bills/so I can get a discount on my nerd fodder.

Nah, relax folks, I'm just a bus driver.... have been for nearly 8 years now.  :icon_thumright:

I'm an optician, working for Specsavers in the Swedish south. We don't have the term "optometrist" here, but I do eye exams and fit glasses and contact lenses. And some store front work when I am needed and have the time.

Thats no good Hannaugh. Unfortunately, I moonlight as a Tie Fighter pilot and Squadron Leader  for the Galactic Empire. You guys got lucky on Hoth, but we'll get you next time.  :laughing7:

I'm a translator, currently with the Ministère du Revenu (the Québec equivalent of the IRS). Please don't hate me because I'm a tool of government oppression.

I dunno, we've got this new guy, and I hear the force is pretty strong with him.  Could tip the odds in our favor.
