I just checked out the TV Yellow at Guitar Center last week. That is one we have discussed doing, i like the TV white kind of a Mary Kay vibe.

OR
This is one very cool colour ... 'Stealth Blue'  ... The paint changes from blue to purple in different light.  :icon_thumright:
Or could be known as 'Plum Crazy Pearl'
Seen this on cars ....
Do this one and count me in  :toothy10:

Yes Swirls are surely one of the finishes we are experimenting with, color changing paints such as PPG Harlequin have also been given much thought! However those Harlequin colors are super expensive but in my opinion the best color changing effect.

What colors of the Harlequin would you guys like to see? Blue to Green, Green to Gold?.....

I'd like to see flip flop colors, I believe they work better than your light in the dark colors.
Swirls are great, they have fans outside of Ibanez.
I don't know if Paisley is a finish but I like it a lot.

Paisley is usually a wallpaper applied over the body and routes cut out. We have discussed this but have yet to determine if the time and labor would pay off.

That's a hard call, especially since I used to move all the showcase bodies and got to see and handle them up close.

I think Warmoth's finishes, especially the dyes and translucents are the best in the business, so I have no insight to offer there.

I do think considering a match of some of the solid colors with some of the newer automobile colors would be cool.  Newer sportier metallics & such in particular.

I think one thing that sets Warmoth apart from everyone else is that they don't just cater to the vintage corksniffer, but really do offer unique choices not available anywhere else.

I like seeing the car comparisons, it would be interesting to see some photoshopped examples of what they may look like on a body/headstock.  Some colors work better with others, considering hardware & pickguard colors currently available.

Thanks Flying Squirrel compliments are always welcomed!

ZW scheme, but pinky  :icon_jokercolor: :p

Seriously, I really like this idea of white-gold ZW...

And the gold and silver flake be like these:

We had started the Bullseye pattern finish and even made the vinyl templates, but we couldnt find out for sure if the finish was/is Trademarked. If anyone has info about this please let me know.

Well, actually a  Black Paisley would be great.
Or a darker green, than the one you offer.

What about those colors that change theirs when light comes on it in a different angle (sorry, I don't know what they are called)

Bye  JULIA

A solid darker green would be nice, as of now we only have Jaguar green which is our darkest but also very muddy and Charger green a much brighter green.

I would like to see something that combines Hannaugh's 2 beauties; blue dye, purple fade to black edges.

It's really cool that the Qty Pie is now available as a finish choice. Way to go, Big W!

Sounds like a great color combination!

TV white and yellow,

+ 1000.
Also PRS vintage burst
prsmccartyii.jpg

Something REAL subtle - just shading along the edge really.

And side treatments like vintage archtops:

The violin burst would be cool, i don't see them on much other than acoustics or violins. I believe it would need to be done on a double bound Tele to look right.

Another vote for TV white and TV Yellow.
A couple of points on existing finishes:
- the Warmoth "amber" seems more brown than what I've seen on other guitars, I'd much prefer a more honey amber color. I also agree some more subtle bursts would be good. The PRS vintage burst does both - nice honey color and subtle burst.
- I've seen a few other comments on this, the "vintage tint" neck color is quite dark, almost orange. I would prefer something more natural looking.

Good points we offer Vintage tint, Amber and Honey. Ideally amber should represent the color of Melted butter but i have seen Amber go from an Orange tint all the way to yellow.

Vintage Tint is tricky in part that other manufactures seem to change it through out the years. We use to spray the tint a very, very light browninsh yellow trying to duplicate aged lacquer. However Warmoth recieved to many complaints that it didn't match the tint on most guitars during that time. It was changed to the darker tint that at times looks more orange.

We are in discussions about offering a Natural aged lacquer look, which would be very light and the current darker tint.

I would like to see a couple of odd finish options, that are sort of versions of another.  Really just using the older Fender colors: Surf Green, Seafoam Green, Daphne Blue, Sonic Blue, and Fiesta Red, but do the Mary Kaye approach to those colors.  As with the Butterscotch Blonde and the Mary Kaye White, I think it would be an interesting addition that would not be too difficult to implement.
Patrick

You seemed to have read my mind! I have a feeling all of our solid colors will be offered in an Mary Kay style.

Or the 3-tone-bursts/2-tone burst the other way round.

For example a little yellow on the outside, quite a bit of red in the middle and black in the inside.  :toothy12:

That color scheme was attempted once and only once, boy it looked awful !

Silverburst - please.  :party07:

I don't know why that is not in our paint choices? Actually just finished an LP that way.

would it be too much to ask for some Hello Kitty stuff?

actually I like the selection but think that if you have the talent there, some air brush or graffiti jobs would be nice

I would love to be able to do the total custom work, however at this time keeping up with production has been a chore.

It's a Pontiac Grand Prix, and the color was available for several years. The one pictured above is probably a 2004, 2005, something like that. I found a listing of color codes here, but there aren't any chips to compare with. By the description, it would seem they called it a bronze metallic, not copper, but there are some other suspects as well.

I keep this in mind.

I'd like to see a burst with a more faded transition, like the PRS Vintage Burst posted earlier or Gibson's Iced Tea Burst.

Yes this was mentioned earlier as a subtle burst. I think this should be offered as a paint option, this looks best on high grade tops with even wood color.
