Thanksgiving Weekend Sale - Online Only

Just a heads up for anyone thinking about the sale;

Warmoth ownership has no plans to make this an annual holiday sale.  There has only been one other sale in Warmoth's 30 year history and that was two years ago.  Discounts like this don't come along often.

And that's two times y'all started a sale literally days after I placed an order from the Showcase!

And to make it worse, there isn't a single suitable neck in the Showcase for the body I ordered 3 DAYS AGO.  :tard: :( :( :(  :sad1:

So long as an exotic Warmoth headstock neck with a Floyd route doesn't show up this week I should be safe.

No, I'm pretty sure they kill a puppy. It's a game of one-upmanship. Can't have Canadians cussing without an overbearing response.

These are wallet-wrecking moves. The guys at Warmoth are gonna come back Monday morning to a bunch of orders from all over the world. The good thing is, this means that the ones I have ear-marked for purchase (one is nice, but cheap, and the others are backup plans) are going to be buried under more flashy bodies.

On the other hand, I've been wanting a beautiful LP for a while now .... ARGG! :laughing8: I don't even play that well!  I need lessons!

I wonder if they're doing it to clear inventory before they have to do taxes. I've heard of businesses doing that.

Hmmm a Tele neck for the body I have. Should be an easy sale since I postponed the McKnight acoustic build. Maybe get the neck for the VIP and quit obsessing over a straightpull.

Eh.  None of us do.  That's a throwback to our upbringing.  "Learn on __________ , and then we'll see about ____________." For the longest time I didn't feel worthy or think I deserved a nice guitar.  20 years later, I'm only slightly better.  That's the nice thing about being an adult.  You can spoil your dinner and play in your school clothes if you want.

It's Thursday here in OZ  :cool01: .... Can I start buying  :blob7:

Seriously thou ...
Dose this include, say getting a Warmoth Pro un-finished neck & headstock fully painted in the solid colour of choice ?
I know that costs $ 115

I presume thats part of the discount for the custom option's on a showcase neck.

Happy Thanks Giving all & happy shopping  :icon_biggrin:

Hehe! Yeah, I used to wonder when I was a kid about "ruining my appetite". Seriously? If I have a cookie, I'm never going to want to eat again? It'll be the end of all desire for nourishment? What kind of magic cookie is this? In some ways, that sounds like a Good Thing. Think of the savings in time, money and toilet paper! No more grocery shopping, slaving over the stove or over the sink washing dishes, or running out of silverware. We should patent these cookies! <grin>

As for playing in the school clothes, well, who wanted to do that? You'd look like a dork. Liable to get your ass beat. Half the kids in the neighborhood I grew up in barely had shoes, let alone any kind of nice clothes. You wanted to play with them, you did some serious dressing down.

Yeah - my wife is still on the 'ruin your dinner' thing - and I'm thinking. If ruining your appetite is so effective, maybe I should have a cookie before every meal, or maybe half hour before.

On occasion I attempt to apply my powers of adult reasoning to 'how can I actually make some progress at this instrument I've been playing for 25 years.' And mostly that just ends up being another rabbit chase, which is ironic because its usually spawned with the idea of cutting out rabbit chases.

Nice! I really like Maple a lot. I wish it didn't need a finish. I don't mind a finished neck at all, but I can't get next to a finished fretboard.

I may change my mind, though. I've owned a lot of guitars over the last 40 years or so, but usually one after another. I've always been a one-guitar kind of guy and tended to try to  "get married" to an instrument, promising fidelity and forsaking all others. For varying amounts of time, of course. Love the one you're with and all <grin>

But, now I've got a pile of them so it's unlikely any of them are ever going to get enough individual attention to wear anything out. So, maybe I could have a finished fretboard and not suffer the inevitable effects of use. Plus, since I keep my fingernails manicured and can get Warmoth to install the frets of doom, the surface wouldn't see much abuse anyway.

Hmm... I may have just talked myself into something here...
