Thanks for the warning.DangerousR6 said:Gots to be careful with power tools, NO GLOVES. That can only worsen a situation, and if the power tool is strong enough possibly remove a digit. I've seen the results of gloves getting caught in power tools, took an associates thumb clean off!!!!

Depending on the top, ziricote could be a nice choice... :hello2:ByteFrenzy said:News about the top, at long last... Today, simultaneously, I got the invoice by air mail and an email confirming that the top had shipped. It's coming by USPS Priority International. That means I'm probably looking at another week or two before it arrives. I'll probably fill the waiting time with deciding on the neck. It's definitely going to be a 13° Warmoth headstock but I'm still in limbo on the wood. I might go with an all Indian Rosewood, else maybe all Wenge or Wenge with ebony FB. Or plain Maple with Indian RW headstock veneer and FB.
Or maybe yet so. I got a call from a nice lady from Customs yesterday who asked some questions like 'what's in it' and so, and who told me that it should be delivered by the Belgian Postal Service sometime next week. It took an entire week from arriving in Customs to her calling me, and likely another before it's delivered. USPS may be OK for minute frippery but compared to UPS or DHL who have your package cleared through customs before the plane actually hits the ground, this comes off pretty poor. And right after it's scheduled to arrive, I'll be off to France for a week...ByteFrenzy said:Well, maybe not. Tracking status says it's in clearance at Belgium customs. That could mean D-Day tomorrow or Wednesday.ByteFrenzy said:That means I'm probably looking at another week or two before it arrives.
