Custom Laminated body.

Ok, Faction Guitars, got it.
Thank you. But I am still leaning towards having a CNC operator do it just so the darn thing looks good on hard work of lamination.
Thanks Jeff

You may want to get the patterns and just have a professional cut them for you.

Pickups: I wouldn't say humbuckers are the best. It all depends on the sound you want. That's all a matter of preference. There are so many kinds of humbuckers (and different types of pickups, for that matter) you probably need to decide on the type of sound you like. Youtube is a good place to listen to demo clips for pickups. Don't get locked in on anything until you hear what they offer. Check out all kinds and see which will sound good to your ears. Listen to as much as you can to get a cross section of what's available. That done, you can then focus in on more exact ones for your own guitar.

If you go with a professional who does this often, they may very well already have the templates on hand.

Separately, it would be a good idea - before you declare the job done - to trace or print a full-sized cutout of a Strat and overlay that on the blank you're creating so you can be sure you will actually get the look you're dreaming of.  It's possible the various elements could be too widely separated to meaningfully reflect the look you are after.  Better to find out sooner than later.

Ok guys appreciate all the advice and references. Yes the Humbuckers are not final choice.  Just going on advice from a friend.
As far as templates go, I will definitely look at Faction Guitars. Never know , they may be able to machine it for me.
    Keep you guys posted.
      Thanks Jeff

Ok, next question on these Faction Guitars  templates?? What is the difference between the "hardtail " template and the " vibrato" template??
They threw me a curve ball on that one.
Thanks Jeff

Lucked out and found a professional luthier in the Cincinnati area. Going to talk to him Friday about lots of stuff about guitars. Seriously, I am hoping he can do the routing for me as well as give good guidance on gear choices for pickups, bridge choice and the like.
  Wish me luck!!
  Jeff

"Vibrato" is the correct term for what many call a "tremolo". Goes back to Leo Fender mis-naming it back 100 years ago. "Tremolo" is actually the term for a wavering volume, which vibrato bridges do not do. They change pitch.

Glad you found a good luthier. He can help you with lots of information to help you make informed choices.

Got my UPS notification that my neck should be delivered on the 12 th of June.
Yippee!! Once I get it, I will send a pic and hopefully clear up some cloudiness of my build.
Thanks Jeff.

So if I order "Vibrato" templates from Faction Guitars, then those patterns should accommodate a dremel bridge?

What's a "Dremel bridge"? As far as I know, Dremel is a brand name for small high-speed rotary power tools.

My apologies, I ment to say tremolo bridge.
I have contacted a professional luthier in the Cincinnati Ohio  area who is going to help me out. Not only is he going to do the CNC work but we are going to discuss the best options for pickups and the Tremolo bridge.
    Thanks Jeff

That's good. Helluva lotta options out there and none of us know 'em all.

It's good that you have your guy to do the routing. This will work out nicely.

2 things in this post.
The panel installed and a pic of how I apply the pressure for attachment.
