Custom Laminated body.

Unfortunately, I might loose some of the "H" when  Doug does the routing.
But that's ok, this a prototype.
Thanks Jeff

No, not necessarily, he told me Friday that he is going to try  to put the center of the " H" in between the bridge pickup and the middle pickup.
I trust his judgment on what will look best.
Did learn one thing today, leave build pics off any website or webpage that deals with EVH. Apparently their rules are very strict. I got the boot on one today for posting a pic.
    Oh well live and learn.

Their loss, not yours.

Very excited, get my new Padauk neck tomorrow.  Can't wait to get the lamination process done so I can turn it over to my luthier for router work.

Rgand, here ya go bud. Pic # 2 correlates what will be directly above the "H" in blocks 5 and 6.
Then using a lap joint method, panels in pic # 2-1/2 show how panels #10 and #11 will go in place.
The reason for the lap jointery, you want a good strong bond out toward the end where the shoulder strap will connect.
I am thinking  this will be a little heavier than a normal guitar.

Interesting stuff, pard. It is cool to see what kinds of wood you have in it, too. Looking forward to pics after it's routed.

:kewlpics:hi guys!!
Pic of the latest exotic lumber for the build. Stuff is just so darn expensive.
But beautiful!!
Enjoy!!

th

Yes, I actually seen some today at Woodcraft in Dayton. Just too much to get it all at one time.
Planning on putting Zebrawood, Marblewood, Lacewood and Lepardwood in as well. Should be real colorful.
I would like to find a bit of Teak as well.
We'll see!!

Hey guys, hope this pic gives you a better idea of the orientation of my body to the Padauk neck from Seattle.
