You can do it yourself pretty easily with JB Weld. It's really not that difficult to replace the plate on most conventional humbuckers either. Lastly you could always use oversized screws like those for single coil pickups. I've done all three and never had a problem.
Gotoh and Hipshot use coatings very similar to Cerakote. Hipshot will even sell you an unplated bridge. I did some burnt bronze pieces for a Kryptek camo'ed soloist I built.
Theres several different shat sizes. I'd make sure you have the correct buttons for tour application. Also make sure you've installed the bushing and washer on the shaft.
To get the lowest string height relative to the top of the body you'll need a recessed route and flat pocket. You can "block" your trem with one of the fancy floyd stoppers on the market or a 1979 quarter :headbang:
I would definitely drill the holes into a hardwood guide then put that on top of the body then drill into the body. Even a drill ln press will want to wander. You might have luck taking small bites with a jobber bit and a center punched starter hole.
The Wilkinson VS50ii have a chrome nameplate. I'm not sure what the difference in quality is. It does come with stainless steel saddles. Might be worth checking out. :dontknow:
I have an HT1 that I run through a 212 and it is great. You might want to check out the Marshall Origin amps. Also you may want to consider getting your gain from a pedal. It's kind of difficult for a low watt combo to do gain and clean very well. It seems like it's one or the other.
I think this guy would like a nice transparent walnut finish, some gold foil pickups, nickle tom with brass saddles, black top hat knobs, and a small Stratosonic or Cabronita style pickguard in black or tort.
