I haven't been active on this forum so I'm a little late, but DAMN! I like this guitar.

*** Unofficial Warmoth "ROCK Like an Egyptian" Giveaway! ***

I haven't been here a lot lately, (mainly because reading this forum makes me want to buy guitars.) But man, I've always admired Great Ape's artwork.

Meanwhile, at Warmoth...trying something new in the Showcase.

Yeah, this.  People who are familiar with Warmoth would just understand.  Someone new to Warmoth, who perhaps might be more familiar with Asian-made guitars, or may be a non-guitarist buying for a guitarist,  might not understand.

Meanwhile, at Warmoth...the Golden Era of the Whammy Bar: 1969 - 1989

I've heard that story differently.  I've heard they were going to ship the candy to England, but the English weren't fond of the French for historical reasons, so they used that name instead. BUT THEN: I just now  I looked it up on Wikipedia, and there's a completely different story there: ...

    San Francisco, California (Bay Area)

Huh, for some reason I thought you guys had joined earlier. Anyway, I've taken a few of my guitars up there years ago, and really liked the results. I had my green strat there, they installed a hipshot bridge, the pickups (they had to route because the pickups were a little weird) and put the...

Meanwhile, as Warmoth.....A Warmoth t-shirt gets some screen time...

Ya know, I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that. Granted, I'm not in the business, but most roadies I've seen (well, the roadies who aren't really just the band wearing hats and overalls so their audience thinks they have roadies) the roadies I've seen have bad hair and look like they...

    GAS Alert!!!!

I wonder if he thought the maple cap plus Korina base would give him an LP sound. I've seen LPs like that (Mahogany and maple cap) and they were all black.

    Meanwhile, at Warmoth...a Velocity video!

Is there any contour for the forearm on the carved-top velocity body? I find that's one of the things I really like about jazzcasters and stratocasters.  I know there are on the flat-tops.

    What the fuzz??

My favorite fuzzes: If you like a Rat, check out the Mooer Black Secret.  It's  rat clone, but it sounds just slightly different than the modern Proco Rat, and I actually like it better.  (not really a fuzz, but it was mentioned earlier.) If you want a really, really smooth fuzz, Mad...

Roasted Maple really does smell good

I just thought of something: I ordered my neck custom, and it was probably just cut. I wonder if factor in getting the smell.

Roasted Maple really does smell good

So earlier, (I think it was on facebook) a Warmoth employee wrote about how they had a bunch of Roasted Maple necks in the shop, and they smelled good.  I thought it was just a metaphor, like when that wrestler (now actor) says "can you smell what the Rock is cooking?" But yesterday, I received...

NOTICE: TELE NECKS COMING TO THE SHOWCASE

Is this like "I just washed my car, so now it's gonna rain?"  :laughing11:

    New Fretwire Day!

Wow.  The place I take my guitars charges ~300 to set up and plek them, regardless of their metallurgy. I thought that was expensive (but pretty darn worth it, considering how nicely they play.)  Now I feel like I've been getting a bargain.

Meanwhile, at Warmoth...35% OFF Clearance Sale on Regal Necks and Royale Bodies

This whole  sale is just weird.  They did it at the beginning of the new year, instead of at the end of the old year.  The other thing that's weird, is that the bodies don't look like "clearance" bodies, they look like "hey, that's really nice" bodies. I have a warmoth LP; it sounds really nice...
