+1. Also, ask for them to repeat the order, and send you a copy for verification. It never hurts to be cautious.

Mine arrived at home just the other day! Ill take some pictures when I get back this weekend. Mahogany neck with ebony board and my KnE body. Should be awesome.

I had been eyeballing this for a long time - I always told myself that if it went on sale, I would snag it.  Then it went on sale!  It was meant to be...

But, I figure a neck aint toooo much  :headbang1:

That's maple  :o

seriously! wow, look at that figuring! VERY nice! i love it. i especially love the grain difference between the V cut into the headstock and the rest. looks insane!

CAN I GET A 'HELL YEAH'?!?!?!?!
Thanks for posting it!  :party07:

Man I was gonna go all black, like always, but that grain pattern on the back will look great in see-through black instead.
It's getting black Sperzels and of course the Graph-Tec nut. It's gonna go on a yet to be made Explorer body.

I know some prefer the exotic woods and such, but with this being my first Baritone neck, I am glad that it's something familiar. Good ol Maple and Rosewood. I don't mind the M.O.P. dots either, since they'll match my other guitars.

Now, the tough part is waiting.
:cool01:

HELL YEAH!! That sounds awesome!

Question: do baritones need special pickups/electronics/strings or is it strictly a scale and tuning thing?  Hate to seem dumb but I am completely clueless about baritones other than how they sound...

Some companies, DiMarzio and Lace come to mind, make pups for low tunings. I haven't yet chosen what pups I'll use it with.
I'm not so sure that special pups are needed. My plan is to order the body when my bank account recovers :tard:, put it together without electronics to see how it responds. Based on that, I'll make my pup choice. Also this gives me some time to fool with string brands and sizes.

They do need special strings, though, to account for the extra length. They are a much thicker size to maintian good tension at whatever tuning.

I just ordered a new body. The number is S3979 and I tried to substitute another number with it to do the showcase picture download thing right, but it's not working out for my computer. Will someone else please load it to this thread for me?

Beautiful wood grain!  Here are your pics:

Here is how I do this:
Code:
[table]
[tr]
[td][IMG]http://www.warmoth.com/Showcase/images/bodies/large/<<BODY#>>a.jpg[/IMG][/td]
[td][IMG]http://www.warmoth.com/Showcase/images/bodies/large/<<BODY#>>b.jpg[/IMG][/td]
[td][IMG]http://www.warmoth.com/Showcase/images/bodies/large/<<BODY#>>c.jpg[/IMG][/td]
[/tr]
[/table]

Where  <<BODY#>> is the number of the body (i.e. S3979 in this case.)

For necks you subtitute "necks" for "bodies" in the URL.
