While I'm waiting on my Vortex neck to arrive, I decided to strap on my spare W Strat neck (4A Flamed Maple, Wolfgang, 3/4" nut, 6150, Tru-oil-ed - for sale soon) just so I could play the thing and get a bit of a feel for it.
First impression is - wow. Very comfy and unobstructed upper fret access. I am really surprised how easy it is to comfortably play up there. All the chord shapes I could muster were easily reachable and required no odd wrist angles.
The body is also very balanced on the shoulder. Just an outstandingly comfy ride.
It looks quite good with the Strat headstock and the Maple looks great in contrast. I'll update or start a final thread once the correct neck arrives and is installed - thank you Cagey!
