ByteFrenzy said:With the way it's running this time, my suggestions for next time would be to do it annually, and limit it to 3 tickets per participant, 200 tickets total. By the way, you all do realize that some of us will have to pay customs duties if we win, and the bigger first prize, the more we would have to cough up. If Fernando wins we may have to organize a second charity event to help him pay the taxes (for the record, Brazil appears to be the country where importing guitar parts is most expensive).
I dunno.. even if you'd have to pay for the taxes yourself, you're getting the parts dirt cheap. I'm in the same boat when it comes to that.NonsenseTele said:ByteFrenzy said:With the way it's running this time, my suggestions for next time would be to do it annually, and limit it to 3 tickets per participant, 200 tickets total. That's really cool Rene, but I'm planning my builds to be have some of the money of the drawing used on the taxes, IF everybody is ok with that...
If you win then give the money to me, you will not have to worry about taxes.baskruit said:I dunno.. even if you'd have to pay for the taxes yourself, you're getting the parts dirt cheap. I wouldn't mind having to play like a few hunderd on taxes if that would get me $2000,- in Warmoth parts. But I can understand that it may still be a lot of money for some.

baskruit said:Wow, those taxes are steep where you live. I think in my case it would be around 20-25% of the value.
