175 tickets, $1,722.31... I guess I didn't have to cough up the paypal fee myself like I did. :)
But it's fine. We're talking dimes here.

It's all cool. Since it wasn't clear I just paid the extra 69 cents to be sure. One extra capacitor for the winner.

Wow, Paypal takes quite a big chunk of the money then if it includes a donation. But still, paypal works pretty good. Much easier and cheaper than wire transfers.

I will also say this; there has been more then one person that has sent in money not asking for tickets and wanting to remain anonomous. I am not looking to make any money so everything in my paypal account is going to get paid out. I started the drawing with $0.00 so everything in it goes to the winners. Just wanted to let the board now what kind of people hang out here......THE BEST KIND. Thanks to everyone that makes this fun.

Tomorrow I will be at the NAMM show and won't be checking this thread till later in the evening. There are 12 tickets left so it shouldn't be hard to track. Anyone wanting tickets purchase them and post to this thread. From this post forward it shouldn't be hard for the members to keep track of how many are left. I just don't want to log in tomorrow night and have 50 tickets sold and have to refund money. If this happens you will be getting a refund less the PAYPAL fees and that is no fun.

Ken

I would suggest anyone wanting to buy tickets today or tomorrow should PM OCguy instead of sending money first. Let him take the PM's in the order they are received. A lot safer than getting your money back minus the fees.

Also, to the people that donated without getting involved, thank you for your kindness. It's things like this that prove that there is still some goodness in this world.

Sent money for 5 tickets. If I'm not around to collect the prize, its because my wife found out and they haven't discovered my body yet.

That's make me feel confused, while is very nice to have some donation on the drawing, I think that the right thing would be these guys participate and win it, for their kindness...

Whatever are you, BIG cheers!!!!!

knucklehead G, we not only have good people here but also members with great supportive spirit.  Well done.

WTF.  How come there wasn't going to be a limit on tickets and now there is?  I get paid on Friday.  Dammit.  Can we please add more tickets?

You're in x3 right now it seems.

What?  I didn't see that... now I'm confused.  Wait, who did that?  :toothy10:  A million thanks, whoever you are!  PM me if you wish!

So, do the anonymous people who donated get a chance at winning?!?!?!?  They took a couple slots, right?

I don't get paid until the end of the month and REALLY wanted to participate!

Why does there have to be a limit to how many total donations are bought?  I mean, a limit of 5 per individual is cool, but why any limit other than a time limit?  There could be a HUGE total for the winner and RESPECTABLE total for second place, regardless of number of entrants.

How do people know what their "number" is for the drawing?

I can't help but think that there are going to be a lot of people who will log in on the weekend and be like "I think I'll check and see if we're doing this drawing thing yet... What?!  It ALREADY HAPPENED?!" because the tickets went so fast.  I mean, this thread was started what, 48 hours ago?  The tickets are almost sold out already.  That's really fast.

This might be fine; however, this is not was agreed upon when the donations began.
Ya can't change the rules in the middle of the game...

It's already been bumped from 125 to 200 after it started.
