Reverse headstocks look ridiculously stupid on Strats. :tard:

...and I LOVE reverse headstocks... but not on a strat, or anything with a 'F' on it.

There's not a damn thing wrong with the look of reversed headstocks. I like them either way. Do what YOU like on YOUR guitar.

I would prefer he do what I LIKE on HIS guitar. I'm selfish that way.

I've been guitarless for over 6 months now.

for someone that can barely play the thing. Its been oddly nerve wracking not having one.

Technically I already have all your guitars. I think.

This forum is really getting full of people who like to read their own posts.
Has anyone helped the OP by being objective rather than just spouting off?

To the OP-do what pleases YOU aesthetically, not me, or line6 guy, or agwan or any god-damned body else

Actually, the original post said, "help me by voting."  I think every poster did, and the results are clear.  If there were no rhetoric, how boring would this forum be?  Original post and one reply.  5 pages in, of course it's going to waiver to hair.

Exactly. yyz2112, did you even read the original post? The OP is looking for opinions, so that is exactly what he's going to get.

I helped, I gave him my own opinion, which is what he wanted

so do we vote, and that is the default answer we give for now on?

Screw that we are all about artistic talent here, both in design and music, we are divided by choice and love it, it drives originality. If he decides his peramiters by asking for opinion, then he wants both pro and con so he can decide.

plus, if we had all just voted, why read all this, we are having fun and that is what it is all about, not being tight assed and picking up our tea with one finger in the air

LOL!!! Well I can't blame you for that.

FWIW - I think reverse looks just fine.  In fact, I have 2 reverse headstock guitars: one on a strat and one on a JM.  But you've got to get the CBS headstock if you're going reverse on a fender model.  You have to press the point.

As for tuning, I will admit it's easier with the tuners on the correct side (i.e. not reversed), but that's just the price you pay.  I can still get to the tuners without causing myself injury.

CBS had two headstocks.

I don't see how one configuration is any easier for tuning than the other,. Your hand is already in position when you are playing the guitar that it would need to be for tuning on a reverse headstock.

I have 5 electric guitars. Two have the standard 6 on-a-side headstock. Two have reverse headstocks, and one has the Gibson-style 3+3.
I like all of them and have no problem switching between any of them.
