Floyd Rose Nonrecessed

So this question might get pretty in depth as ive done a lot of research on this topic and noticed a lot of different things and a lot of them confuse the hell out of me.

First ill talk about the setup im looking for, then after that ill talk about the build i have going on.

So i want a setup i suppose like EVH's floyd rose, where its decked against the body, resting on the body completely. when i read about "top mounted floyd rose" a lot of what i read says that you can not pull up on this style of mounting however i have noticed that is not true on most cases of top mounting floyd rose, at one point i owned a kramer 84 and the way it was set up the floyd was basically just a floating floyd just not recessed into the body with minimum room to pull the bar upwards without hitting the body, you could pull up just not very far, and from my stand point i dont exactly see how this is a benefit, because if youd break a string your others would still go out of tune, and if you wanted to bend a string and play another note while bending a string it would still go out of tune. so my question is, is there a proper way to set up a floyd rose on a stratocaster, top mounted with the base plate resting flat on the body having it be dive only?

one of the other things ive noticed is that EVH's floyd doesnt look as tho it is completely flat resting on the body rather the block in the back is pressed completely flush with front of the bridge router making it impossible for it to be moved forward as there would be no room for the block to move forward in the cavity. im unsure of how top mounted floyds supposedly do not let you bend upwards as what ive seen they still let you bend upwards just not as much. an issue that i would think would occur if you have a floyd rose decked against the body is that the front of the floyd rose does not have an angle to let you dive the trem down and would just hit the wood and go nowhere. ive noticed on EVH wolfgangs the portion where the studes are inserted have a shallow rout which would counter that issue.

Currently i have a warmoth strat body processing with a non recessed rout and the angled pocket. im wondering what way with out a FU TONE trem stop would achieve an actual dive only floyd rose set up.

I dont have one to show you right now but I cant tell you that the bottom of a floyd is not flat there are spacers and the spring plate that give height while still resting on the top of the guitar.

ohh, now that you mention it i do see the shims under the base plate. if the shims were taken off and the base plate was flat to the body would that prevent dive bombs due to the front edge colliding with the wood?

You need the shims to get the right bridge height in my experience.
