Last night I ran out of patience so and went ahead and buffed down the finish to a nice semi-gloss; I'm very happy with how it turned out! I've installed the ferrules, bridge, and controls, but don't have pickup rings or knobs yet.

Hmm I'd have to think about that... The wood on this one ran me around $350 total so that plus the man hours which I'd have to figure out. Also I think my bandsaw is toast, so I might not be in shape to make any more bodies at the moment

Also I cut out my ziricote control plate, but the fit is... not so great. So I'm going to order some more ziricote and make another one. Maybe I will reuse part of this piece to make a truss rod cover.
