The courier just dropped this off.....

7/8 Mary Kaye Tele. This is much more transparent than I thought it would be, fantastic....a nice and creamy finish.......

I was deciding to go with a pickguard or not, but after seeing this in person my mind is made up. No pickguard to cover the beautiful grain. I am thinking of going minimal with this ie: short tele bridge, exposed bridge and neck pickups. Sort of an under the hood hot rod style. Not sure of black hardware to go with the exposed pickups or chrome for some flash......

My ideas are likely to change anyway....atleast the minimalist approach will let me change things down the line.

Lovely tele body. What neck is going with it? I'm close to drooling over that grain. You've got yourself one fine body there...

The Warhead neck is going with this. 24 3/4 scale length, 24 fret. I went with the 7/8 body as this is the scale I wanted. I'm a Gibson player from way back........The neck will be maple with Stainless frets.

I hope the Warmoth necks are the same quality as the bodies!! this is my first build.....

A Warmoth neck with SS frets is guitar Nirvana. You're going to be very pleased.

My Gilmour-inspired Black Strat has a one piece total vintage maple neck with Stainless Steel (6230) frets. Best neck I've ever played.

WOW indeed  :blob7:

Bet ya me bottom dollar, that's gunna look bloody great in our natural beautiful sunlight down here in downunder land  :glasses9:
Wish they mixed that one up & dropped it off here at my joint  :icon_biggrin:

Gee & I thought the Mary Kaye finish would cover the grain up / more solid colour, not so see though
But that looks just perfect the way it is  :headbang: very nice indeed !!

Cheers buddy  :occasion14:

Cheers Updown, I 'll have a Coopers. :occasion14:

I am very impressed with the clean pickup routing. I want uncovered pickups and was worried about rough edges and so on.....the routing and paint line on the route edge is smooth and beautifullly finished.  :cool01:
