Barn Door Tele

Now that is a bacon sandwich.

Ever see the Mini series "Band OF Brothers"? the seen where he goes, " You find any bacon sandwiched you let me know."
that would satisfy someone Jonesing for a bacon sandwich.

wow thanks for going the extra mile there, now I have to sit back and decide.

Tasty choices here and a bacon sandwich, I am in heaven

mmmm........bacon. Does that sandwich come with a Defibrillator?

of course I like the warmoth headstock! Looking good :icon_thumright:

num num num...  bacon is good...
So is the bloodwood.  I vote bloodwood for the kill  :icon_thumright:

Thing to remember about the W headstock, those are all cut will a strat heel, and your body has been cut for a tele heel. It will fit, but there will be gaps in the corners.... :dontknow:

22 frets will cover that right up too.
Yes it will, me personally I like parts to fit together correctly....So I just had my tele's cut with a strat pocket.....

well I did the burning, wow what a difference, then restained and re sealed with grain filler, knocked down the surface with 400, ready to start a lacquer finish, all I need now is advice on the lacquer.

Would it be wrong to ask you to actually hammer nails into the drawn on nail holes?
first, those are burned in, all that was done with a wood burning tool, and second, I am afraid they will work back and ruin the final finish. I sweated over that decision for a week, and decided that the guitar is going be a player, and in that will be used, abused and pounded on to keep sustain going, if I had a nail in there eventually the lacquer will crack as it works up.  SORRY but some things have to be simulated.

I second the nails, sunk into the wood...
BIG nails, shortened to fit a small drilled hole, with the head sunk flush, or slightly under flush.
Rust them up a bit, and finish right over 'em.

CB, you are the man, I will weigh that during the next week as I figure out what to do with the nitro

+1, I think the real nail would just push it past the redline of the awesomeness meter. And really I don't see that there should be any worry of the nails working out. I don't see the body having enough flex in it to create the torque to push them up.... :dontknow:

OK. but then we are putting the Nitro off 2 or 3 weeks as we rust the nails to the degree we need. One good thing about the burn is it made the nils spots lower than the top. Now I have to get up the nerve to do it.

the biggest issue, is I keep going into uncharted areas, and they are unrecoverable if I make a mistake.
'
So you can see my caution, I mean it keeps looking better and better, but one mistake, and I need to come up with another 200 dollars
