I just finished my first BYOC and love it.  I bought a large beaver, powder coated the chassis seafoam green, and build it to standard ram's head specs.  Sounds way better than any fuzz pedal I've tried previously.  Next one I'm definitely going to source my own parts though.

Sorry to go a bit off topic here, but that is the same Strat I have except mine has a rosewood board.  Does it happen to say "Special Edition" on the back of the headstock?  Mine says that, but I bought it used and never found out what was special about it and I've been looking for info.

Awesome!  Just watched the director's cut of the Live From Pompeii movie again about a week ago, absolutely love the way that scene is framed and the general feeling of that whole song in general.

As an AC30 user, I can say that you would not be disappointed with one if you want more headroom.  In order for me to get mine to break up it needs to be loud enough to be heard throughout the house (it's in the basement).  I have it set just below the edge of breaking up when I hit a power...

Nikon just announced one of those mirrorless cameras and honestly im not all that impressed.  IMO, the pictures I saw from it looked kinda like P+S pictures despite the fact that they were from a camera with a better sensor and lenses.  I would never trade a DSLR for one of those and I don't...

Im a better photographer than guitar player and have some tips I could share.  I use a Nikon d7000 w/ battery grip, it makes the camera feel like a pro body.  In my opinion, lenses matter way more than the type of body you have, so start buying some good glass if you can afford it.  Cheaping out...
