Why We're Better Than TGP... what?

I'd say they've gone too modern.

I'd say they WISH they'd gone modern, but it's more like they tried to fake being state-of-the-art with a whole load of... new ideas

this is definitely my "home" forum. when i log onto the internet and finish checking my email i always pull up UW. i've seen the same TGP discussions you're talking about (i think). more than half the posts in those threads are from people with absolutely no experience who then let everybody know how terrible guitars are that they've never seen. "a guy i know has a friend who heard from a gypsy that warmoth guitars are crap."

it's actually kind of frustrating to read, because the opinionated people with flawed arguments are ALWAYS the ones who get the most attention in discussions like those. i'm still a member of TGP, but i mainly read and don't post. it's not as bad as a couple other forums i've seen. ultimate-guitar is full of 12 and 13 year old kids who are stuck in some sort of time warp... always searching for the best guitar for metal between $200 and $300.

We're just joking  :icon_jokercolor:

Some ibanez guitars could be pretty decent. I wouldn't mind owning a couple of ibanezes as well. It's winter in norway, and I think they would work great as firewood :laughing7:

I honestly love Ibanez guitars. the AANJ bolt necks. the flat fretboards.

the thing just screams ABUSE ME.

If I could only get that RG321 in Lefty... I'd be set.

one day... I will Warmoth a clone of it.

But I have two idea's I already need to save for... so... it may be a while.

Off course you would warmoth-clone it! Because you'd get a better guitar :icon_thumright:

I just wish I could get the Soloist with NO edge contour. just sharp and BARELY sanded. like the RG's.

but yeah, an oiled mahogany Soloist, with a maple neck

good to go!

The older RGs had an edge contour. I prefer that look to the later ones.

You Sir, are clearly a madman. And I am terrified for my safety when i am around you.

...

No but really... they did?

I was unaware.

I can say that this is the best forum that I've been on. I'd pretty much given up on forums because it seems as though there is always a little "clique". They all have their inside jokes and if you dissagree or don't play their style of music or guitar you are shunned. Anyways, everyone one here (that I can tell) are good people and I haven't ran in to any "bad apples" yet. Everyone seems more than willing to help and offer advice....weather or not you want it....but in a good/joking way. Anywho.... :rock-on:

my old RG570 had rib and tummy contours just like a strat. really comfortable! the only thing that wasn't was the neck. too bad, it was an awesome guitar!
