My grandfather eats steaks, Smokes a pipe, and drinks, is 98 and still about once every 3 months his 63 year old wife calls mine and complains about "John" chasing her around wanting a little.

so he was 70 when she turned 35.... that has to be an interesting story ;)
they got married about a year after grandma died and it was scandelous with the women in the family, He was in his 60s

And he's 98 now. Looks like it was love - as they say in Australia "Good on him".

I dunno if its too late to add this to the thread, but I documented my first attempt at a deep dish pizza a month ago. I would have had things on here sooner, but life sucks when the little cable for the camera goes missing:

Not really impressive as I thought it would be--the cast iron skillet I used weighs 5 1/2 pounds empty...

I had it for lunch for the entire week.

looks great, I did a simpler pizza
homemade and tossed crust with a commercial sauce, fresh crumbled mozzarella cheese and a nice pile of sage, basil and oregano picked from my spice garden 5 minutes before putting them on the pizza, cooked on a pre heated pizza stone
heaven

I thought the same thing.  Haven't seen mine in ages.  Just take the memory card out of the camera and put it right in the computer.  Saves the battery life of the camera too.

I used to do the same thing, but the difference in upload speed between the card reader in my computer and the USB connection to the camera is dramatic, with the camera being substantially faster. I would have expected it to be the other way around, but there it is. Plus, as it turns out, the USB cables for my phone and camera are the same, and the phone will charge off the USB port, so I just leave that out all the time. Makes it convenient to hook up the camera.

I bake frozen pizzas like twice a week. :blob7:

But when I want a serious pizza, there is a restaurant down the street that makes an insane pizza.
It's about $25, but there are at least 50 heaping handfuls of Mozzerella cheese on it, and I can never eat more than two slices in a sitting. :blob7:

i remember going to new york a few years back, first time i ever ordered a 32" pizza. the bloody thing wouldnt even fit in the elevator...

32 inch, mama mia, that's a pizza
tell you what, I hope you had the entire team there.

I had a bean and chicharron burrito smothered in green chile and cheese with rice. Effin fantastic!

well I started a crock of sauerkraut fermenting today, looks like it is time to make some fresh bratwurst and smoke that so I have something to go with it once it finishes.
As long as I am doing that I will make some hard salami also, It is that time of year after all. Cold coming on, time to make wines, sausages, and stuff like that so we can eat like pigs come the Xmas season

Chili pesto steak, smashed spuds, sweet corn, beans and some sort of red wine sauce, so... meat and 3 veg.

Technically, that's meat, two veg and a legume. Kinky.
Err, meat 2 veg a legume and a fruit, do not forget wine is a fruit.
