Hi All, About this time last year I scored a "screaming deal" body and neck. Over the year I accumulated the various bits and pieces required for a complete guitar and Early October I began the finishing process. Here are the specs:

Jazzcaster Guitar Body
Chambered:
Alder/Alder
Control Cavity:
Top Rout
Pickup Routs:
Tele® neck/Tele® bridge
Bridge Rout Type:
Hardtail
Bridge Rout:
Vintage Telecaster®

Neck:
Strat Modern Construction Maple shaft/Pau Ferro Fretboard 1-11/16" Standard Thin

I added some dye to the neck and finished in gloss nitro and probably add some satin to the back.

I'll do a few post to get caught up on the progress on the body.
First step was sand and prime. I went with a black prime sealer in case it showed through the flake finish as the overall color theme was black/silver. Then added a few coats of .004in inch baby sized flake. I am using a water based urethane (createx colors 4050) as the flake carrier and finish. After a few coats of the baby flake I used a mix of regular and monster size flake (.015 and .025 in) to get pretty close to full coverage.

I didn't get a shot of the body after masking the top and back and spraying transparent black on the edges and the thick stripe between the thin line masking (but I did that). Now time for the table cloth. I used some re-mountable spray glue on the back of the lace to hold it in place while I sprayed the transparent black over it. 3 light coats over the lace on the back and 1 medium coat on the top.

I have some Planet Tone pickups (American metal for Tele) to put in it. I have a DPDT to do an out of phase option. I did see a "half out of phase wiring option also. I have a guitar with out of phase wiring and have a good idea of how wonky it might sound. Does anyone have experience with the half out of phase option? I am using a 4-way switch for a bridge, series, parallel, neck configuration.

I have a HOoP setup on a Tele using Lawrence 5-way wiring, a Duncan Broadcaster, and a PAF in the neck. It does NOT sound out of phase. You can hear it here, 4th clip:
