Hi!  I'm new to this forum and didn't see anything re: Gretsch pickups.  I am considering my sixth build... that being a Tele thinline with TV Jones Classic Filtertrons.  Anyone attempt this before and can Warmoth do this route?  Thanks.

TV Jones makes a Gibson humbucker sized pickup...

which I had considered for an Explorer, but they're just so butt-ugly compared to their regular pickups...

I just couldn't bring myself to do it. If you use the Gretsch-sized pups, you'll very likely have to do the routing yourself.

Maybe contact a rep at W and ask if the big Fender humbucker rout would accomodate the filtertrons..... :dontknow:

I think I might have some routing specs for the Filtertrons.  I'm on the road right now and don't have access to my office stuff.  If you want to get an order going, email me on Monday and we'll see what I've got. (eric@warmoth.com)

tv-jones sells a tele bridge plate that you can use a tv jones pickup on

http://www.tvjones.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=02-011-0100

of course u'll need to use a humbucker routing for the bridge pickup
(i can't help you with the neck though, sry)

P.S.
tv-jones also sells their pickups with an "English Mount"
basically a tv-jones pickup that can fit on a gibson humbucker mounting ring
and it looks like a real tv-jones pickup too  :icon_biggrin:

just a little sidenote: filtertrons are smaller than p90's. if you have a p90 rout you can put filtertrons in it. the ring will cover up the little holes on the sides.
