Red Bear Amps

Anyone ever heard of Red Bear amps? They were russian made amps, comissioned by Gibson a while ago, and seem to be making a stir as more people come across them! I'm getting my hands on one this weekend, anyone else have a chance to see/hear/play one of these bad boys? I've heard people compare them to a really pissed-off hot rodded marshall...

I got it, but it's currently on the workbench, needs new tubes and re-biasing, and also some work internally, I'll post pics and a review when it gets finished...

Ok, so it's been a while I know, but I finally got my RedBear MK60 head up and running, and man is it tasty!! For those of you that don't know, RedBears were comissioned by Gibson and made in russia back in the 90's. I'm really surprised that not a lot of people have heard of them, mine is KILLER! It's a 60 watt all tube, point to point wired amp, (similar somewhat to a JCM800, but definitely with it's own sound) I really dig it. It has a very warm, open-sounding clean, and the overdrive can go from ACDC classic rock, to full-on heavy distortion tones. I'm in the process of moving, so all my recording gear is packed, but in the next month or so I will put some clips of this bad boy up for all to enjoy!

Hey there everyone I'm brand new to the forum. I came on here to do some research about Warmoth's (been thinking about getting one for awhile now) and I saw you guys talking about RedBear's. Well I also have one its an MK120 and I run it into a 4x12 cab and 4x10 cab. and it is LOUD !!! I dont think I've ever had to crank it up past 3 on the master. (if I do I drown out the drummer) I got it for $100!!! from a guy. best deal I've ever gotten on any gear (thanks Duane!!) The clean channel on the amp is cool but the amp's high gain channel is what this amp is about (think JCM 800 on STEROIDS!!!) Since the day I got it I cant say it enough, I love this amp !!! There's some pics of my baby at the bottom.

nice MK120 Kyle, RedBears are awesome! Welcome to the forum. If you've been thinking about building a warmoth, DO IT! Haha, you won't be disappointed
