First post!

Hello world! ;)

Im currently trying to make some sense of the fact that warmoths Builder applications and their ordering forms seem so different from each other.
Some options available in the Neck builders are not available in the Neck ordering forms, and some options in the Neck ordering forms are not avaliable in the neck builders.
I suspect that the builders are not quite fully developed and the forms are not fully updated?

Anyway, what Im wondering is this; Since i live in sweden im not about to make a long distance cellphone call to Warmoth so I would guess the best way to place my order  would be by email.
Some of the feats i want are not in the builders so ill have to order using their forms. Now, do Warmoth want me to keep to the forms as strictly as possible or can i do as i please ;) as long as they get all the info in a readable and understandable format?

Also, in the forms there are boxes intended for filling in the price of the product, Im not supposed to fill that in myself am i?

Im asking here because i suspect there are lots of people here with direct experince ;) AND i want to keep my interaction with warmoth as short and smooth as possible so that there are no mistakes.

Anyway, I hope to be building a kicka** Soloist soon.

If only i could choose peghead veneer in the builder I would use it, but...  Well well... No BIG problem really...

e-mail them to explain exactly what you want to make sure it's OK.

Then, even if you use the builder, when you checkout there's a "notes" (or something like that) section where you can specify additional stuff not in the builder (or showcase options). They'll then do it (and charge you for it, even though the cost doesn't show up anywhere).

You also might want to send a copy of your order to whoever you made e-mail contact with to confirm.

are you in a position to be able to call? i'd definitely recommend it! they're very helpful and thorough on the phone. it seems like thats pretty inconvenient for people NOT in north america, but it might be worth the price of a phone card and waiting up a few extra hours or getting up early to call.

otherwise emailing is definitely your best bet. but i always feel MUCH better about it after hearing somebody else read my order back to me :icon_biggrin: just to make sure we both got it right and understood what i wanted. hope we see a build in progress thread from you soon!

OK =)  That sounds pretty straight forward to me.

"e-mail them to explain exactly what you want to make sure it's OK."

By OK i GUESS you mean "if they even provide the services i asking for" (?)

JaySwear:

=) I understand exactly what you mean, and ill consider it as well.

Thanks to both of you.

I am very thorough In my "investigation" into these things so Im pretty sure I can compose a clear and concise description of what i want when im fed up just tweaking specs and dreaming about this ****  guitar ;)

I'm from Sweden aswell and placed my order two months ago. Since two of my options weren't in the builder (Flame Koa top and veneer) and I had some special requests about the neck (I wanted it ready for True Temperament frets) I had to explain what I wanted in the "Notes" section when checking out. Once they get your order, if they have any questions about it they will send you an e-mail to make sure everything is as it should be. Personally I couldn't be more happy with the support, they are very helpful and kind and answer any question possible.

I'm getting my guitar tomorrow, super excited about it! Check back around 15:00-16:00 GMT +1 (that'd be 7-8 AM for you PST guys!)

Ive seen the pictures on the forum ;) Hope the final result turns out the way you wanted it!

I originally came here to look for a thin Strat neck with SS frets, but I couldnt resist the new strat body builder so.. Here I am GASing for a guitar. But not a strat, a Soloist as Ive said allready...  Well, a strat too ofcourse, and a tele :D

Sorry guys, but Paul Guy is really taking his time with the clear gloss on the neck, this is the third time it's delayed.  :dontknow: The first deadline I got was three weeks ago..
It'll be done some time during this week. I hope.  :sad1:

Welcomde dude! Hope your project turns out good, and don't forget, pics or it didn't happen :icon_thumright:
