My latest project

Today I finally moved the Geckos to the wall, instead of sitting in a combination of various floor stands (plus a few gig bags strewn about for good measure).  Here are the results.

I attached the Hercules wall-mount guitar hangers to a 6-foot-long piece of "1x8" hickory from the local home improvement store, which I then trimmed to fit my room and painted to match the existing wall paint.  The long board is attached to several studs with a series of heavy duty bolts.  I don't think this board is going to fall off anytime soon.

So anyway, that's what I accomplished today.  What did you do today?

Wow, that's probably the most impressive collection I've ever seen on the forum.  It's the consistency that does it for me.  Congrats.

Word to the wise - no bubble bursting intended: I had to get rid of a hercules "hanger" stand I bought some years ago as it ended up doing some minor damage to the nitro finish on my LP.  Not sure if it will be an issue for you but it certainly ended up being a disappointment for me. Just the wrong kind of plastic foam apparently...  though I think I read somewhere that they changed the design.

I have often thought about similar but then I remember the dust build up I encountered on a guitar I left out for a  few months, not being played. And the security issue of having them all on display..

Great work though, looks brilliant on the wall.
