We've been a bit too busy at Warmoth to get some cool new options officially announced, but I thought I would at least let my favorite board know!

* 21 Fret Warmoth Pro necks and Vintage Modern necks are now available.

* All of our fingerboard radius options are available on Total Vintage necks.

* The wood options for Total Vintage necks have been greatly expanded.

More to come later!

Music to my ears (eyes?).   I just shifted gears on my project priority list.  :headbang1:

Fantastic! Waiting impatiently to see the short scale basses and CTT with humbuckers on the showcase though. I remember some guys on here busting their spleens about 21 fret VM necks and modern radius TV.

I saw the new Earvana compensated nut factory installed on a EB/MM bass at a GC.  Is it available on W bass necks?
No plans to do it on basses yet at Warmoth, but it is an interesting idea.

Just when I thought I was done building guitars for myself you go and do this!!!!!!!!  :o :o

That was the only thing stopping me from getting one.  I bend too much to use a 7.25" for long.

These new options are cool but I still don't quite understand. Why would you want a total vintage neck unless you were making a vintage spec'd guitar? When you change the radius or the woods... you end up with a non vintage spec neck built around a vintage truss rod design, which is not something i think i want, but you guys do so maybe i would want it as well if i knew why it was so desirable.

All well and good for the guitarists...BUT, how about the bassists???

I hear tell about a short scale bass neck(s)
ALSO a special slim (can you say Geddy) 4-string bass neck   :occasion14:

Please advise - enquiring mind wish to know    :guitaristgif:

There's a lot of products about to emerge but the order and speed of the releases are semi-unpredictable. As soon as we have a handle on release dates I'll post them here.

I'm so disappointed that the "mudflap gal" body design has been left for another day (again).

Seriously though, its nice to see things evolve.

I can see 21 fret VM necks in my future. I've never been too fond of the overhung fretboard, and like the head-side adjustment on the VM.  This is a good thing.  In fact I can live with the base adjustment on the TV, and since the radius option is now available... works!

Putting two and two together here, it sounds like Warmoth has retired its old original neck machine, that was TV necks only.

Will someone please enlighten me?

There have been quite a few requests for a 'non-total vintage' total vintage neck for a long time.  It may not make sense, but... people asked and here you go!

I thought Warmoth already offered enough variations in neck design to satisfy most players? Anyways, happier with more options I can choose from in the future, thanx.

Rockskater40000, some people want the guitar to look outwardly like a really old guitar (no 22 fret, no headstock truss rod adjuster) but have the more playable flatter radius, which is basically invisible but nearly everyone prefers. So these are two different ways to get closer to that ideal.

Also, many old guitars, such as SRV's strat, actually had the rad(ii/uses) flatted after multiple refrets. Some people had the repair shop flatten the radius intentionally.
