Help Identifying Woods...

Hi!

I recently purchased 2 used complete Warmoth guitars and am unsure about some of the woods, even after checking the Warmoth website/wood description. Some look so similar. I was hoping someone wise to the subject could help me with these. (my apologies if this should be in the neck wood or body wood topic section. I don't have questions about the woods other than the identification).

Neck 1) Redish + dark fretboard
Body -Quilt maple top, but unsure of body wood
Neck 2) dark brown + dark fretboard

Thank you in advance. Your time and expertise is appreciated!

John

The reddish colored neck appears to me to be mahogany, with a DIY finish without the grain having been filled.

The body is a quilt maple top on a black korina (black limba) body.

The darker neck could be rosewood, could be pau ferro.

Both fretboards appear to be ebony.

Sorry, couldn't resist :icon_jokercolor:

Thank you for the replies and help! I really appreciate it. My suspicions were in alignment with what bagman67 said. I wasn't sure about the Rosewood/Pau Ferro either.

Thanks again!

Definitely rosewood on the last one. Pau Ferro doesn't have open grain like that.  :icon_thumright:
