WTF ....  :laughing3:

Air guitar ...... Harp guitar  :dontknow:

Don't know what to say about that guitar Shadowhand  :tard:
Looks like something out of Prince's collection.

Long fingers needed.
Kind of looks fretless too  :laughing7:
Interesting pickguard.
Wonder what the truss rod looks like  :icon_scratch:

I'll say it before others ...... Needs a Floyd  :toothy12:

A guy named Michael Walworth makes them specifically for slide playing. The article says he based it on the Arkansas Mouth Bow.

Or, even simpler, you could just wire the 1 tone pot to the left lug of the volume pot and remove everything hooked to the right side lugs of the pickup selector like this:
1V1Tb.jpg

With this setup the tone control is in the circuit no matter the pickup selection. I believe this is what Jumble Jumble was going for.

YEP thanks again guys, used the pic above and is all working perfect  :headbang:
Just waiting on Dougs work of art and some other little bits and almost done.

Glad it worked out.  :occasion14:
Does it sound as good as you hoped? :dontknow:
It's definitely looking sharp!  :icon_thumright:

Well since the neck isn't on yet, so by just holding another guitar over the top of pup's.
For a test run of switching / vol / tone etc ......
Think it's gunna sound great with the mix of pup's I've used.  :party07:

Just in the waiting period now, for a couple of finishing touches.

Next time you're at a music store, pick up a tuning fork. More than $5 is too much. They're a lot easier to use for checking out your pickups/wiring behavior than holding another guitar in proximity. Just bang it on something, then hold it over the pickup. You'll know if the pup works, and you can check the switches/pots while you're at it.

Thanks Cagey  :icon_thumright: ..... Never knew that

Always learning  :icon_biggrin:

I just touch a screwdriver to the pickup. Can test which coils are active, and volume and tone controls. Have the amp turned down pretty quiet though!

Yep know that ....  :icon_thumright:
But ... I just wanted to actually hear how they sounded on each setting 1st & make sure Tone & Vol all good.

Can't wait to fire it up properly  :guitarplayer2:

Nearly there   ..... But ....

Should I with Black Paint, paint the bottom ONLY of the neck & middle pickup routes ?  :dontknow:
Would you ?

Only really stands out more in pic's (like below)

I think I would. Looks incomplete/unfinished.

Incidentally, that thing looks great! I especially like that fretboard.

you could try some black felt or maybe just black paper under it first to see before you bust out the paint.

Looking good!  :icon_thumright:
I think I would paint them! Like Cagey said, it would give it less of a WIP look.

Thanks guys  :icon_thumright:

Get outta my mind will ya  :icon_jokercolor:  ... had that very thought just after posting, turned around to see a roll of black masking tape  :icon_thumright:

Nice one Auto Bat  :hello2:

Yep, paint it if you want it to look finished.

I'm leaving mine unpainted on the build I'm currently doing for that exact reason - it's meant to look a bit scrappy.

Done ....  :icon_biggrin:  .... just did (still drying) the bottom of pup routs.

And before anyone ask's, why didn't I get the correct routs for the pups I'm using.
Before it was finished it was TXT But I wanted SST.

I don't even know  :dontknow: if those emg pup routs would fit these type of SD's ....  :icon_scratch:

Usually I would paint straight away, if the body was a finished one with routs done after the finish,
if I was wood mounting the pups. Just hides that unfinished wood work.
Just was a little unsure at 1st with this.

Hurry up and dry  :laughing7:

Forgive me if you posted this already, but is that a Duncan Quarter Pound in the bridge?  My black Tele has one, and it's pretty nice.  I got the one with the tap, and it's nice to be playing along and then drop the hammer with a throw of the switch.

That's a very handsome axe (unsurprisingly, given your taste for nice lumber), and I echo the "paint the pup-routs black" sentiment.

Yep sure is  :icon_thumright:
The other 2 are strat pups, SD's Duckbucker (M) Scream'in Demon (N)
My other Tele has a Quarter Pound in the neck.
