Excuse for latest build

Interesting. Maybe I'll try that with my Canary neck. It's pretty smooth, but it's no Pau Ferro.

Love it :icon_thumright: You know what would look awesome on that Tele.....an anodized aluminum black Scartozi Bridge or black chrome plated brass bridge. Email me, I have 2 weeks off (since my daughter was born monday :binkybaby:  :toothy12:) I have time to make some calls about the anodizing or plating and one way or another I will get some pricing!!

Whatever you end up doing it's going to be a Tele I'd like to have.....someday I'll build one :icon_biggrin:

Well in fact it was going to have your bridge on it, but was routed as is, so it hasn't.

Email coming ... yes still need !!
Congrats to you Adam & your wife  :headbang:
A little scartozi  :binkybaby:  has entered the world  :blob7:
Hope all is well ...
:occasion14:

Really nice Updown!! :occasion14:
That neck is total class, and looks perfect with the trans Yellow!
Black hardware seems to make sense too.  :kewlpics:

Thanks yeah this is the one that was on the showcase, same time as your BK, kind-off similar to start with.
Anyway ....
Have tried all Black hardware & I don't like  ......  just not right.
Have tried all Chrome hardware & I don't like either.
Not even gunna bother with Gold.
I don't want pup rings on (N) or (M) they will be wood mounted, to show that little extra wood work.
Pups are all black.
So will be trying this latter on ....

Chrome Tele bridge with Black saddles
Black knobs
Chrome switch tip
Chrome Tuners

Might sound silly  :tard:  but I think it'll just break it up a bit  :dontknow:

Opppppppppps  really sorry about that  :toothy11:

Oh well 'Great Minds' think alike  :icon_thumright:

Being different pup rout and colour and necks, they should be totally different looking ..... I hope.

Hadn't seen what you were using as your still in the finishing / tung oil stage. Which looks bloody great too.  :blob7:
Really think thats the best thing to do with BK too.
Another one I keep looking at is swarfrat's BK strat oiled finish..  http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=18629.0
Really nice, have a look.  :icon_thumright:

Well, I actually mixed mine up a little more than you described, and I went with a pickup ring (which I'm not totally sure I like).
ANyway, take a look **here** Maybe it will help you decide what not to do!  :icon_biggrin:

Love that neck!! :icon_thumright:

I should be able to do this wiring  :icon_scratch: .... I think
http://www.guitarelectronics.com/product/WDUSSS5L1204/WDU-SSS5L12-04.html
So I can get (N) + (B) and all 3 pups with using a 5 way switch.

Similar to the loaded pickguard I got for my other project.

But on this Tele, I only want 1 x vol and 1 x push / push tone.
So if I just omit one tone from the diagram or the spec's on this loaded one in front of me,
and wire what was from that to the other lugs on the switch.

Should still work  :dontknow:

Suppose I could just try it.

:dontknow:  Can't find a 2 control (vol / tone) diagram of it.

Get a wiring diagram for standard tele and wire the volume and tone to each other as shown in that diagram. Copy the stuff for the 5-way switch, the connection from that to the volume pot, and push/pull switch settings from the diagram you've already got. And there you go.

I believe you have it right Updown, just remove the middle tone pot from the circuit and jumper the 2 lugs on the selector switch like this:
1V1T.jpg

Or, even simpler, you could just wire the 1 tone pot to the left lug of the volume pot and remove everything hooked to the right side lugs of the pickup selector like this:
1V1Tb.jpg

With this setup the tone control is in the circuit no matter the pickup selection. I believe this is what Jumble Jumble was going for.
:guitarplayer2:

Thanks so much guys  :icon_thumright:
Yep kind-of what I thought, as only removing 1 x tone. # 2 diagram looks the go !!

Again .... thanks heaps  :icon_biggrin:

Lookin' good! That certainly is a fine piece of Korina. Looks like all you need is some controls wired in, and you're there. Well, that and a neck. You are going to put a neck on it, right?

:laughing7:
... well I thought for playability & intonation purposes, best to put a neck on it.  :guitarplayer2:

That's been my experience as well. I hate spending the money, but those pesky strings won't anchor themselves.
