EFFIN RECOCKULOUS!!!!!

So maybe the orderer made the mistake of drawing a line in the sand so Warmoth saw an out (after all he is drawing one now by saying he will never be back)
or maybe the time frame got out of hand and they offered a refund and he took it (they admit the thing was not shipped because of a QC issue, did they try to correct that and time got out of hand?)

I need to clarify the situation for all those that didn't read my original thread "how long has everyone waited on a finished body".  That thread started from what I remember about 4.5 months into waiting I started asking the questions to everyone else.  That thread contains all of the knowledge I had recieved from W about my build.  There must be more to the story, but that is Warmoth's knowledge.  My last comment in the thread before it got locked had everything to do with why they deleted my order because a few hours after I posted it, they emailed me that the order had been canceled/invalidated.  There was no line that I drew in the sand, all of the postings from me in this thread are after the fact that they canceled my order without telling me first, or updating me further.  Pabloman started this thread after I informed everybody in the thread what they did.  He was understanding enough to not let something like that go unspoken.  I know nothing more about it than you guys, and yes it does suck.  W took the out for me, and I was still awaiting more information, that's all you need to know.  The "I am never coming back" statement was meant to be somewhat joking in nature.

Normally I do not jump into posts like this.... in fact I rarely have time to get on the board..... when I do I do so as a player not an Employee.

BUT......

If anyone ever has a problem with their order or feel they have had bad customer service they are welcome to and encouraged to contact me directly... and I WILL get to the bottom of it.

This has been said before but I think it needs repeating... Nobody is perfect and Yes sometimes things do go sideways... very rarely (I know this because I end up dealing with ALL of the things that go wrong... and volume vs. problems is less than 1/10 of 1%)........  but every once in a while we get an order that is just flat out cursed where NOTHING goes right... falls through the cracks... or even spirals out of control.... when this happens we will do everything in our powers to make it right.

I wish I had talked to Rob a long time ago because he informed me to the nature of the cancelation and that all makes sense to me now.  Warmoth is making it right with me now and I apologize for all the fires I started in retaliation on this forum.  All I wanted was information as to what happened to the guitar, and that curiosity has been satisfied.  Thank you Rob.

Do you think we could see WHY the body was declined by QC? I think it would only go to show Warmoth's dedication towards a quality product...

is it too much to ask what happened? (don't tell me if you don't want to, I don't care . . . just thought it might help?) So the dog chewed on the guitar body . . . it happens. Seems like a communication problem, or a lack thereof, probably caused by this dang computer technology. people email back and forth, modify web thingies, and the oher person goes . . . "hey, what happened?!" when all that needs to happen is one person calls the other on the phone. you hear the voice, talk back and forth, and pretty soon, it's "ooooh . . . so that's what happened. okay. I get it."

my heart goes out to both Firebird and to Warmoth. no fun to not get what you wanted, and no fun to tell someone they ain't getting what they wanted.

The most important thin is make sure you  :rock-on:  :occasion14:

I am so glad this thread has pretty much come to the conclusion I was hoping for. Our Poster has calmed down, and Warmoth stepped to bat.

I'm more than reassured. I'm CONFIDENT in Warmoth. 100%.

I don't think I've ever seen a company Allow open complaints about it on its turf, and to actually ADDRESS them publicly. shows that they know how fragile the customer/Company bond is. and will handle it properly.

Reality is 99% perception.  I came back to delete this thread just like I deleted my locked forum under work in progress, but more value has been added to it since I have been away, so maybe it can stay.  A terrible misunderstanding, the locked forum was just a waste of words and space.  W reminds me of the place I used to work where a small company with high volume has many hands and heads not connected all the time and lines of communication break down from time to time.  The guitar was cursed and was not meant to be because neither the neck or the body survived the wrath on seperate occasions.  It would be real hard to put all your time and effort into a guitar and when it's just about finished skips off the buffer to bust in a way that is not repairable so that it looks good.  The neck twisted as well on it's own, which doesn't help the guitar's  cause either.  This forum isn't a great way to communicate with W, but I suppose it can get their attention.  If Dan didn't post here where it was highly visible to me when he did, I wouldn't of decided to just try to contact him and tell him my story just to see. I lost hope and didn't hear anything up to that point, and talking to him changed everything. The guitar is a do over.  Thank you Dan for clearing things up and thank you Eric for not getting mad at me.  Thank you pabloman for coming up with such a hilarious title ,which diffused most of my anger.

So... What was your guitar going to look like? Specs? As a warmth, it automatically looks like this crazy BA guitar, at least in my imagination...

Yes, on both... The GREAT way to get in communication with Warmoth is talking with them on the ways they show in their website...

And yes, you can get their attention, but I don't think that throwing fire here will make you get the attention in a good point of view...

Don't know why, this sounds weird to some people... what I'm saying is: "have a problem? go to the main way to solve it"...

EXAMPLE:
I've just bought a 1x15" cab that is not the size that I have asked, it's the same size as the 2x12" cab that I had from the same builder and I've asked a bigger one... What am I doing? bashing him on internet, forums, facebook? NO, I'm getting in touch with him and telling that we have a problem and seeing how we can solve it... usually the polite way in negotiation gives a good result...

@STDC I have the ability to lock and delete threads I've started... I think thats what he means.

But uh...

He didn't start this thread.

That is true I can't delete it. :laughing7:  Just thought it was the right thing to do.  I forgot I didn't start the thread. I  wanted to also state that I did go through the process of contacting W officially, but couldn't get a straight answer, and things were happening to my order.  I was never informed of anything until I talked to Rob after his offer to help, and saved the order just in time.  I must have been in contact with the wrong person apparantly.  Rob is a great guy, and as of now I support Warmoth 100%.
