I think it's pretty stupid to lock a thread to prevent a forum from forming and exprerssing their opinions about a particular topic. Instead of locking people out maybe an explanation would suffice. Tell your side of the story instead of using your admin powers to just shut someone up. This forum is an excellent learning tool and there alot of lessons to be learned. Take it for what it is. :headbang1:

It's a bit rough IMO, people weren't bagging Warmoth. If anything the vibe was positive regarding QC, etc. But then again, this ain't my forum, hey?

Gold star for Cletus!!! The post was locked to keep anyone from talking about it.

Would you prefer I delete it outright?  I can certainly do that but I prefer not to.

Go back and re-read what I wrote.  The thread was locked to prevent it from being deleted.  Also go back and look at the general guidelines of the board.  This is not an official support site for Warmoth.  Official company support takes place between the company and the customer.

Again, the thread was locked to prevent it from turning in to a bashing thread and being deleted outright as per the guidelines.  I'm trying to keep communication as open and free flowing as possible.

this has happened a couple times with threads that had great info in them. most of the threads i know of that have been locked were to save it and prevent it from being deleted outright. and most of those were also company reviews; either or warmoth or another. mainly Sims Custom Shop (or whatever the company name was)

I think as was mentioned in the the thread that as long as the guy (I forget who it was) is able to post when it's done and complete the thread, that's their prerogative.

Why would you threaten me with deleting it? What you said was you were going to lock it to keep any bashing from happening. Reporting the facts of an unfortunate situation is hardly bashing. If a ball was dropped or whatever might have happened is just a fact of life. It happens. Maybe if the OP ever gets a concrete answer he could let us know what happened. I wasn't asking for anyone to provide customer service through the forum. Hell I'm not even the customer. It would definately be interesting to hear what W has done about the situation. Since the OP hasn't posted a "new guitar day" or "out of the box" post I'm sure it hasn't been delivered. Again just to be clear I'm not bashing W. I am just being real.

pablo, I don't think he's trying to threaten you.

that being said. from the Story that guy sent me. My faith in Warmoth is greatly shaken. and I think that the situation WITH HIM needed to be handled better. this guy needs the truth. even if its bad. he deserves it. just telling him his order is cancelled is not enough.

one bad review can haunt a business forever.

And I'd hate to see that happen here.

things aren't right with this guy. and Warmoth needs to be the bigger man and set them right. even if they think he's being a bear about it.

Well for all we know his portrayal of whatever events have transpired between him and W could be totally skewed against W. Though I would like to see the end result, I for one am not jumping to any conclusions based on a single bad review.

Agreed^

I've heard his half in full. but only a tiny bit from the Warmoth lot.

I'd really like some clarity.

I can compare what he said, what they say. and find my own middle from the two.

If you're wondering why I double posted just now... the post between these comments was deleted.

Indeed they are sorely limited in what they can say. but he isn't. he can say whatever, where ever. including here(to an extent).

So making this somehow good for him. can stop this from blowing up into something it isn't. I know they may not need to. they may also not even have done wrong. but when you're a smaller company word of mouth can be damning. and situations like this become incredibly fragile.

the message I got. the customer seemed livid. and given the time frame I understand.

I really just take Concern as to why HE felt his needs were not addressed properly.

Just to clarify ....I posted a comment and then deleted it myself. AGWAN is obviously posting after seeing that original comment by me. The post was not deleted by Mods, I deleted it.  I want nothing to do with this matter & if I added further comments it would just get me involved.....something I am not comfortable with.

I assumed you self deleted. And thought it would be in bad taste to name you. thus my general neutrality in the explanation.

I figured you wanted to not get involved. If this conversation gets ugly (Or... goes back to being ugly.)

than I will want no part in it either.

well the mod is going let the OP have some more words later, guess they are hashing it out.

I have owned a business before and you cannot satisfy everyone, and snafus do happen, the end story is the important one, not the middle story, who knows what QC issues can be

Anyway, seems trivial if they are going let him have the last post later on.
