Double Neck SG.....

best price I have seen them is $999.  Honestly I like epiphone stuff, but the double neck did not do it for me.  I want the SG shape, not the finish...

not too bad.  the SG is a light guitar in the 1st place.

kind of awkward playin the lower section, but you get used to it.

I have actually tried to play one of these in a store.

You can't really sit down with one, because the upper section is right in your face, and then you have a fair reach around  :laughing7: for the lower section. Standing up is the only real way to play this, and the one I tried weighed a fair bit (about as heavy as a heavy LP Std. I guess).

But the twin guitar I do really like is the old Ibanez Artist, with the carved top and fancy inlays. Quite a piece of art when they were made.

this is cool...and exactly what I mean.  It is basicially an SG shape but with a lot more eye candy.  Not sure I like the head stock but hey...lots of other choices it WARMOTH could build us something like this....

kidding, but really i think a regular carved top SG would be extremely cool. i'm not a big fan of gibson's (the edges are too flat and beveled looking, it needs to be carved from the edge of the body like a les paul) and i bet warmoth would do a hell of an SG carved top!

here's an example. the body edge has too many contours to it, i'd love to see just a straight carved top on it! plus i bet it would help out some of the neck-heavy issues the SG has. that carved top would add just a little more weight to it.

I know it's mock-up, but it's kind of a redundancy as far as a doubleneck goes.  Same pickups, same bridge, same number of strings, same scale length, etc.  Tisk, tisk.  Any of the reasons for a double neck aren't there.  You totally missed the point of the doubleneck.  For the sake of arguement, I'll assume one is a different tuning which makes me like it tons more than a Robot Guitar.

Not very good at making parts from scratch, and p90s are difficult parts to find the stock for.
