Warmoth raises shipping prices? Yes or no?

I just spec'd out a Tele neck w some bells n whistles. $612. Okay, I can do that. Then add the tax $60. Ugh. THEN, they want $48 UPS shipping and I only live 48 miles North of Warmoth! Necks were always $20-$25 to ship. My last neck ordered was in late Fall '24. The UPS shipping then was $23.32. Why is it now more than double 7 months later? The fees and the add ons just keep goin up and up...

Yeah, I about crapped myself when I ordered a body and bridge two days ago. A little over sixty bucks for UPS from Washington to Iowa. Since I didn't really have any other way to receive the products, I just bent over and took what was coming to me. After it was over I said, "thank you, sir ... when can I get my next treatment?". Well, it turns out that today was the day. Another sixty plus for UPS to ship a neck and some small accessories. It is what it is, I guess. At least I don't have to deal with international shipping charges. From what I have gathered, that is a truly brutal situation.

I heard that ups was laying off people due to lack of business. They say its amazon bringing shipping in house ... at first i thought those amazon trucks looked cute and with a friendly face but now I'm not so sure ...

Have you REALLY had a look at the smile?

I can purchase any Warmoth body and they ship locally to me, 48 miles away via UPS Ground, in one day and it now costs $58, when it was usually just under $30 for years. About a 100% increase in shipping price for WA State buyers. That's nice. If I live in New Jersey, that same body ships for $66 and takes 5 -7 days. Doesn't stop me from ordering whatever I want, but now I just have to go to the Indian Casinos and play blackjack now to cover the $100 overages in Tax and overinflated shipping prices. Wonder what Aaron Cheney would say? He did live here, but was smart and got out...

Might be one of these egregious WA State taxes for Warmoth... we do have the highest gas prices because this state charges an extra 55 cents per gallon to us residents. Stupid...

Well, with Washington state raising the highest gas tax in state history, you can bet that the carriers are raising rates, which will pass on to shippers, and ultimately the end user. You can’t expect a merchant to eat that difference if the already small profit margin is going to decrease.
