:icon_scratch:  …. with Worm-Holes, YEP you read that correctly.

What I'm trying here is something completely different to my standard builds.
Something a bit more customised I suppose,  :dontknow: well that's if it works out that way.
(not saying that my other Warmoths aren't custom)
Haven't seen anyone here that has done or tried this before.

As I said I'm just trying something out here. With the tools I have.  :laughing7:
OK ….
Lets start with one unfinished Tele La Cabronita Pine body (well that's my 1st mistake, using Pine for this build)
Think Alder might have been better suited for this.
Oh well, to late now ….

Actually it's a nice looking pine body, no knots or crappy bits (but not for to long)    :laughing11:
Original Body

Now ….
These pic's below (some I found on the web) is where my stupid idea came from, for this wild / mad idea I had.
There's just something about it, I just Love.  :toothy10:
Plus thought I might be able to do something similar to that myself.
But I'm NOT doing that shape, as I don't have the tools for that, or doing that colour finish.
That's why I thought I'd try it 1st up on this solid Tele La Cabronita body I bought. (Rather than a blank slab)
Which had the best options for me to do this, out of the bodies available.

From web.

Have I got you wondering ?  :icon_scratch:

OK …. Lets start off by
Rounding off all the edges Top and Back, plus putting a Contoured Heel on it.
All I used here for this part was 2 x Dragon hand-cut rasp files, one Large coarse & one Large fine.
It really looks great with the rounded off edges. (Hey, I might actually be on to something here)
Didn't do a body contour, as the rounded edges are comfy.

Should be able to see how far / much I filed away to make the curves.

I tell ya, Greg, in addition to having mad artist chops, you are one productive SOB.  That body already looks like a lot of fun - I'd stop with the rounded-off edges, but I'm interested in seeing where this wormhole thing goes.  You've got my attention, is all I'm sayin'.

Greg isn't working on this, correct me if I'm wrong(and i'm usually never wrong) Updown = Murray... :dontknow:

OK …. It's time to ……. release the Worms.  :blob7:

I have these. Which I haven't opened.
file_zpsa8b1b647.jpg

But I don't think these will do the trick, the Worms have been Condensed.
There probably a bit to milky.
(Might make a nice soup someday)

Next up ...... I opened these up.
file_zpsbb131a63.jpg

But I don't think these are the right size (to small) for what I really want.
(So I cooked them up for dinner) Hey why not, they where opened.  :icon_biggrin:

Yippie  :blob7:  ….  this is it, perfect !!    :icon_thumright:

Now these are the best Worms I can find to use …. Finest Grade AAA Trouble Worms

Yep, sorry, got my forum handles confusticated.  Time for some damn sleep.  I have the house to myself for five days, and what happens?  I can't sleep because Mrs. Bagman ain't here, and so I end up all woolly-headed.  Sorry, Murray!

OK .... next up.

You have probably noticed that I added other control holes (well the worms did)    :laughing11:
Wanted 1 x Vol & 1 x Tone, so I thought I'd cover the original ones up.
Just used a bit of pine lying around the garage. Kind-of blends in. I'm not to fussed about that anyway.
Plus more Worm holes been added to the sides etc, and started cleaning it up by sanding it with 180 & 220.
Then will be ready for some extra clear satin water based lacquer, only brushing it on.
That's where I'm up to at present.  :icon_thumright:
While I do that part (finishing the body) ….
I'm awaiting for …. Neck, Pickups and a Dougie Custom neckplate and he's doing me a rear control cover in Aluminium.  :hello2:

Sorry for all the pic's  :laughing7:

That has to be the silliest thing I've ever heard.  Who here is gonna complain about too many pics of a build?  Especially one with so much win as this one?  That is a truly awesome project you've got going there.

This is really cool!! I really liked it pre-worm holes as well! With just the round over and contours.

Yeah I gotta say it looked great just rounded off, comfy too.
Might do that again sometime. Totally changes the look.

I have to try this on a vintage jaguar!!! :toothy12:

Wonderful build. The more I see this, the more I really do want to try it on a jag. :help:

HAA-AAA-AAAHHHH!!!! That is IN-SAN-I-TY!!! That is TOO COOL! Fantastic execution of the concept...if I wore hats, they'd ALL be off to ya, Murray! :toothy12:

Now I really want to try it, and start playing in an instro horror band. :help:   :dontknow: :evil4:

If you could find the right kind of aspiring Hollywood special effects guy = young, hungry, needs the exposure - you might be able to wangle some animatronic worms out of him.
Now that'd be entertainment. :hello2:
I assume you'd want to avoid the real ones....
