Custom neckplate

Good solution. I guess I'm feeling a little silly. Here I am thinking you got a super-fine artist's brush and spent half an evening carefully filling in those letters, or maybe found some magic drop-fill trick. Never occurred to me to paint the whole thing and then remove what you don't want  :laughing7:

Never too smart or old to learn something new. :laughing3:

It’s great because you can use any color in the rainbow as long as it’s available.  I have even used brush on paint and sanded off the excess.

.....that emblem is actually domed and the logo matches the surface of the dome.. :toothy11:
Didn't know you had the capability of engraving curved surfaces! Good to know....... :evil4:

Blacked out the lettering and edges.    Doug was great making this one off piece.

Btw...it will be replacing the truss cover on the Warmoth 4 string bass headstock.  Not a lot of room there so we had to modify.
Looks awesome Dave.... :headbang:

To an extent, my machine is just a 3 axis... :binkybaby:

Making Dave's custom TRC got me thinking about custom shapes. This one I did some years back and forgot about. It had a different hole patteren, so I redesigned it to use the Warmoth hole pattern.

Oh, yeah! Fresh from Doug. A fine new aircraft titanium neck plate for my Telerauder build. That'll do wonders to keep the 3 lb 13 oz body from getting too heavy after I put all the stuff on it. It's taken me a couple days to get an adequate photo of it. Doug may have a better photo but for now, this will give you an idea of what it looks like. Of course, it's much more beautiful than the photo shows. Many thanks to Doug.

Of course, the 36005 isn't the year. The 36 is from my brand above and 005 is the build number.

Thanks, Doug. Yeah, very hard to photo. I tried scanning it in, too, but it came out black and dark grey. :tard:

As my wife the photography buff is fond of reminding me when she sees me struggling with pictures: “Don’t light the shiny thing, light what the shiny thing sees!” Easier said than done....

Good looking piece of hardware there!

So, shine the light into my eyes and snap away? :icon_biggrin:

I'm pleased as punch. Doug is the go-to expert for this stuff.

More magic from Doug.  I left the edges blacked out on these.

The aluminum one will go on a warmoth style bass headstock in place of the truss cover
