Hi All, We are coming very close to tax time in Australia, and I am expecting a nice rebate back from the government. This left me thinking "What to do  :icon_scratch: ...?" . Warmoth of course was my first logical answer. I have also recently sold off 2 student model guitars (a strat squier, and an ibanez RG170DXJB).

I have always loved the look and sound of black korina, so today I pulled the trigger on this chambered bk baby, plus a standard thin Conversion Angled 24 3/4 wenge/ebony neck with SS6105 frets. Just ordered, and already the waiting is killing me.  :headbang:

You know, I see a lot of build ideas that don't excite me, but that looks amazing.  Wonderful Korina.  Please keep us updated.

Thanks, its all showcase items. Thinking of all Gotoh black chrome hardware, and for pickups Seymour Duncan Full Shred Neck and Distortion Bridge.

Gee .. I sure hope the local 'Tax Man' doesn't come knocking on your door ..... because

It might just be me  :laughing7:  :laughing3:  :laughing7:
Very nice score there fellow Aussie  :icon_thumright:  that guitar is just gunna rock the house down  :rock-on:

nice catch!!!! I was eyeballing that body too. the neck looks kickass too. i can only attest to the slick, great, awesome feel and tone of wenge. this guitar will sound great! with warm pickups this guitar will sound smooth, fat, slick, and round, and with brighter pickups, it will  sound fat as well, but with a nice edge. great, great build.

In the words of the late Theodore Roosevelt ""Speak softly and carry a big stick, you will go far"

Personally I would put Fralin Pure PAFs in that. That would be an incredible guitar with some Pure PAFs. Then again, it'll be incredible period. BK and Wenge are two of my favorites for LP and SG styles. Excellent choice.

Grrrr, the waiting is killing me. I'm starting 3 weeks holidays on the 1st August, so I should have more than enough time to assemble, wire, setup and rock out.  :party07:

construction and wiring shouldn't take more than 4 hours, in my opinion. it's really quite easy.

Thanks Orpheo. I have the process all sorted out by now. This will be my 4h Warmoth, and I'm really looking forward to this one.  :occasion14:

ah, with the fourth already! then it should be fast 'n easy, indeed. if you're doing regular, standard stuff, no strange wiring or hardware, construction/assembly takes no time at all. I like to have warmoth hammer in the studs for me, but I can do it myself just as easily (as long as I don't forget the earth wire, otherwise it will take a helluvalot more time!). and the rest, well, as long as you have everything handy, you just pop the stuff in, and you're done! :D
