I have that exact bass!  Looks and plays nice, but the tuning keys on mine buzz...  Only complaint.

I may have misled by saying "metallic"...  Are you referring to the flake type finishes?  The finishing method I linked in the last post describes using spray can lacquer, I would only need a can of silver, and a can of black...  Or is silver not offered?  I haven't really looked into supplies...

I like it.  I'm almost wishing I had've waited before ordering a body blank, but there's always the next guitar...  :laughing7:

I actually just watched a demo not long ago from the guys at Anderton's.  They admitted the price is pretty outrageous, but that it's geared more towards collectors, rather than budget bedroom players.  Sounds nice though.

So after careful deliberation, and weeks of thinking and self-convincing, I've ordered a mahogany body blank. It's rear routed for a single bridge P90 (A Roadhouse "True Blue"), and recessed TOM with staggered string-through.  The plan is for a Jr. style double cutaway with a simple solid color...

Figured I'd give the new showcase a shot (the link is on the top right of W's home page) Along the left column, there's a list of body types you can sort the showcase by, and there are 3 unfamiliar styles listed under SC1/DC1. Foreshadowing?  :blob7:

Man, the Gibson style just looks so much beefier.  I like the KL headstock on it though, looks a lot better than I thought it would.
