I can definitively hear an improvement from the compensated nut! The bridge saddles are old style but compensated, I didn't spend too much time on intonation since I still want to do a leveling job. Cannot compare with other bridges, this is my first compensated nut, so far I am liking it. I...

Hey! This is my third Warmoth and my first tele build : ) Is also the first time I do the finish myself...quite a challenge. Body: Light Swamp Ash (3lb 10oz) Neck: Flame maple (vintage construction) Hardware: All nickel, bridge and control plate from ABM (made in Germany, impressive care to...

    Play it raw?

I have a Wenge neck, and a maple satin finished one. The raw wenge neck feels good but I have nothing to complain about the maple one with satin finish. They're both feels better than gloss finished neck.

    Guidance Needed!

Warmoth SG body are thicker than standard SG (http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=13.0) , so no neck diving problem  :cool01: Btw I have a 2008 Gibson SG with the vintage style tuners and I don't have problem of weight balance between neck and body.

    Guidance Needed!

Consider that warmoth neck have a scale of 25 1/2 while gibson usually have 24.75. 25 1/2 scale gives the instrument a more defined sound while the shorteer 24.75 gives a warmer sound (for more info http://www.stewmac.com/scalelengthtone.html). I suggest you to consider kluson style tuner...

    My favourite mistake...

eehehehe, I got it fixed (well, is not perfect but better than before)....I filled the hole with some epoxy and wood pieces, and then I repositioned the damn strap button (I also replaced the classic strap holder with the uglier but safer straplock). Now I can look at it without crying :p...

    My favourite mistake...

I did the same thing using the masking tape. But probably I was to worried to ruin the finish and I miss the X =_=! Anyway I can live with it.

    My favourite mistake...

Prefaction... Your beautiful warmoth pieces is laying on the workbench, and like a mad doctor you swing your tools to make the thing alive... A cut here, another cut there and the guitar is done... You look at it, she's beautiful but......Daaaaamn! You drill the hole in the wrong place...
