    variable pickup position idea

Hey! It's been a while, but seeing this video I thought you guys might like the idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=192&v=D5cYVgSJ3To For those asking what is it- this dude made a guitar where the pickup is mounted on a rail, so its position can be changed mid-playing. Never seen such a...

    12 string nut options...stringing differences.

If you're looking for the octave function, above is better since most likely you wouldn't miss a string whether you strum a chord or even a single note. If you want to have the possibility to still play notes without the octave notes with relative ease- you need to have it below. Otherwise it...

The korina Jazzuar - DONE !!

Thanks Steve! It is rather simple and great to have it aligned at 90 degrees to the drill. You take the vice and hold it against the bottom of the neck, so the neck sits straight on it. Then you tighten it with two pieces of plywood from each side so to not damage the neck. because the vice is...

    Neck Screw questions.

I just installed threaded inserts on mine. They go 8 mm into the neck. The metal screws I got for the inserts are about the same leangth as the stock wood screws, so my guess is that the wood screws also go about 8mm in.

The korina Jazzuar - DONE !!

So the next step was installing the neck. I was waiting on the inserts to arrive and decided to start on with the tuners. I aligned the two far machine heads to the neck and then aligned the rest to them: Done: Last- the inserts arrived! This has been for sure the most nerve wrecking part...

quick question- how tight should I screw the neck?

So, after much work my build is almost done, and I have a last question that is the final step before completion: How do I know the screw is tight enough? How do I know when to stop? Take into consideration I use threaded inserts. Thanks! Pics & sound soon to follow!

    help - loose tuners

I went with the aluminium. The PTFE, being made of elstic material didn't sound as such a good option, but in the end I guess it really doesn't make that much difference. I've gone to read on the topic and many recomended the aluminium for such situations. I gave it a try- and it is really snug...

    help - loose tuners

Well, Warmoth basically say that they put this gap so it would be easier to install the tuners. It is odd for me that a 0.15 gap each side is needed, let alone the 0.2 if you use Grovers.  If it was 10.1mm I'de get it...But now all I have left is to figure something out.. Different tuners won't...
