I just completed a V http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=11504.0 with Schaller strap locks and found the best place to mount them is 1/2" from the neck plate on the center line and the other one is on the inside of the V 5" from the crotch. The way I came to this though was by...
Thanks. It took me a little while to figure out the best way to lay out the schematic. I was pretty methodical about the wiring to make sure I didn't make any mistakes.
Here's a few more construction shots. It took 6 hours on a Friday (hey snow day) and another 6 on Saturday, but that's taking...
Finally got around to building my 2nd Warmoth going back to the December sale.
see Just out of the Box http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=10918.0
Decided to add a third PP500 Push Push Pot 500k with DPDT Switch (On-On) rather than add more mini switches for the 4 wire humbucker...
My Strat has a Gotoh Wilkison VS100 with Planet Waves tuners/graphtech nut and I was amazed at not only how well intonated ( didn't have to adjust it) and in-pitch it was the day I installed it, but how well it stays in tune. As a bluesy player I don't abuse the bar much like I did back in the...
Recently I went back and decided to add string retainers to my first Warmoth Strat build http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=10616.0 (and my first strat in 30 years) which does not have a locking nut. I had noticed many Strats on this board don't have them so didn't bother with...
thanks Mullyman :party07:
I knew I should have broke out the polish. Sorry that's a bad habit of mine. I can see now that it's posted; the Nikon lens doesn't hide anything. The next photo shoot is outside in daylight with (hair and makeup) polish and buffers at the ready.
I really liked the topic of this thread when it popped up especially since just before it came up, I had the sudden urge out of nowhere to take photo's of my guitar collection after adding my 1st Warmoth. The fist set of photo's were not worthy so I re-shot them. I wish they were outdoors but...
OMG! That guitar is just too hot :headbang1:. The GAS is kicking in big time.
Never been a fan of the plain old tele, but a carved top F hole tele..now you are talking. :party07:
And those p90's, I wish I had known about them before I ordered my Rio Grande's, might just have to build another...
Here are the Just out of the box pics.
Warmoth knows how to pack that is for sure. I used to ship gear all around the world and know how bad all the shippers can be on this stuff.
I bet you they ship to themselves from time to time just to be sure how their packaging holds up.
A few days before the Warmoth Sale ended I went for my second build. I almost couldn't decide on a color between amber, vintage or yellow until I saw how great the yellow on Valentina turned out (http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=10556.0) came out in another thread. Since this...
