I believe the HFH has that name because of the sound it makes in bridge position (they made it explicitly to be a very bright and clear neck pickup).

+1! I got a GT-8 a few years ago, and while it certainly wasn't the greatest thing since sliced bread it helped me figure out what I like from amps and effects. I'm very happy with what I have now!

I play almost exclusively through my neck pickup. It just sounds waaay better than the bridge position. It's always been like this for me.
