There's someone on the OSG forums that makes a conversion bridge plate for the mustang; it allows you to put a wraparound bridge w/regular Strat scale neck and intonate properly.

There's no reason you couldn't use the Hipshot headless system w/ a paddle headstock. Heck, you could use it on almost ANY headstock with varying degrees of tweaking.

Neat!  The pickguard covering almost makes it look like sparkly black, which would really go well with the metallic orange.

I can see the value in variable positions much more on a bass, since it can be a little tough to get the best spots to pickup natural harmonics and overtones.  And there's a lot of real estate between the end of the neck and the bridge on a bass.  I'm a little surprised the Grabber thing hasn't...

I have an old bass that I'm wanting to fix up, and for the controls, I just want an on/off switch for each pickup, wired to the jack, nothing else.  Do I need a SPDT switch?  There are some that say they're on/on, and some that say just 2 positions. What do I need?  Also, is there a wiring...

I'll throw in a mention of the Stellar Tone Styler, which is a passive tone. . . thingie.  You can read the copy, but it's a rotary tone knob with multiple capacitors instead of a linear roll off knob tied to one capacitor.  YMMV to the max, but I love it.  My main bass has no volume control...
